Finger printed at L1 on 10/6
Went to City-County building and paid local 10/11 (first time I was able to make it downtown during business hours)
Received my LTCH today 10/19; License has issue date of 10/17

Anyone reading this looking at getting their LTCH, I highly suggest the L1 route. The finger printing is quick and easy, and you obviously get the complete process completed MUCH faster.

    I'm just worried now that:

    1) I somehow messed something up on my end and I'm wasting all this time waiting only to never actually receive it.

    2) It was somehow fumbled on their end.

(I have a clean record, been an Indiana resident my whole life etc)

I wouldn't worry too much. I live in Muncie and applied on May 3rd. I didn't get mine until August 9th. If I were you I would call your local PD and ask when it was submitted to the state.

    Would they know offhand?

Or, better yet, is there a number to call at the ISP? I.E if it was potentially lost in the mail on the way to me?

When I called the person who answered immediately told me they were backlogged. I asked if she could tell me the status and she placed me on hold and came back and told me. I'm sure they can tell you if they have sent the paperwork to the state yet. Call your local PD.

Today marks the day I will no longer have to view this thread. I finally received my LTCH this afternoon. The process began on July 17th with local PD, then continued onto the state on 8/8......and finally after months of waiting it ends on 10/22. Whew...that felt like an eternity...lol

Just called ISP about my application submitted 8/6/12 via snail method. The guy told me they haven't received anything from Lawrence PD yet, and to check with them :nono: Called LPD and the lady proceeds to tell me they mailed my app/money order to ISP on 8/15/12!? I asked why it isn't showing up in their system, and was fed a line of BS about weekends/holidays etc. Unfortunately, I don't have the money order stub to see if the state cashed my $75 MO. Bottom line - Use L1 or you'll wish you did :xmad:

No they did not.She really didn't act like she wanted to give out any information only that it was still being processed and i should see it in the next week or so.I sent mine in on 8-15 if that helps.I feel that 11 or 12 weeks is just crazy.

L1 will not speed any local paperwork required in your part of the state.

Case in point: Evansville residents (EPD) must accomplish local paperwork, a notary form, and a separate check amout-regardless of L1 electronic fingerprints. You can't exactly shortcut that process, or do that local part-electronically. Although, a Notary was available at EPD when I was completing the paperwork.

My waiting time after L1, and local paperwork took exactly three weeks on the calendar (not bad), whereas, a Warrick county applicant posted about receiving his a week sooner (earlier this month).
