Given that no concrete action was taken to ban or restrict anything, and given that it seems like a pretty safe bet that an assault weapons (or any weapons) ban will actually pass in the House, I don't see the need for buying a $2,000 AR or some overpriced 223 ammo. I could kind of see it before President Obama's speech. But now it seems kind of ridiculous. Regular priced stuff is already popping up online (if you look and wait for it).

I guess ignorance is bliss. Not knowing what I am missing good or bad, will have to do. Just keep my back orders in place and wait it ouit.

Bad idea. Friend of my wife, her husband has FFL. He told me his back orders are being cancelled without anything more than an email.

I think you mean NOT likely to pass, and yes, prices will come down, it's a waiting game for now.

You may be right. But they also said Obama Care wouldn't pass, then it would stand judicial scrutiny - But it did.

I'm not taking a chance. Bought some .223 ammo and bought 10 Pmags.

Anybody got an eye on 7.62 steel cased prices??? or steel mags?

I'm pretty well set in the AR arena, but I don't have much for AKs. I put off the purchases a bit too long....at least for now
