I hope most people will be joining to participate in a great community of gun enthusiasts. And not to just scam on the classifieds. Guess we will see.

I try to greet them when I can. The 50 post bashers make me mad though. They don't get it I guess, but when I was a newb I understood the reasoning.

They get it, they just don't care. It's too inconvenient for them when there's an over-priced AR15 in the classifieds that will be gone before they can make 50 worthwhile comments. My favorite was the retired guy who screamed at me for three hours that I hate vets and I hate America because his grandson was coming home from Afghanistan and I wouldn't let him break the classifieds rules so that he could buy a pistol for him as a Welcome Home present. Because nothing works better than screaming at the guy standing between you and your goal.

I find this not terribly different in principle than a few of the new people lately who have introduced themselves by gratuitously insulting other members. It just doesn't do for someone with under 10 posts to jump in telling most people in a discussion how stupid they are.
