Glad you all see fit to hide your shame to avoid having to deal with angry gun shop owners when you violate their signs.
Not a fan of Bradis?

I think he is referring to Bradis. I carry everywhere I go so if a shop doesn't want me to carry in their business they don't want my business. But I would never take my gun out to try to fit it in a new holster either.

If this were Applebee's, people would be losing their crap and demanding that we practically storm the place with carry events to show them how wrong they are in their stance. I fail to see why gun shops (the one place where this shouldn't be an issue) get a free pass on banning guns. I have always maintained that a better sign is something like "Keep your loaded gun in its holster".
Why won't the OP post the name of the store?
If that's their policy, then they shouldn't mind him advertising that they enforce it.
Why bring it up then?
The only reason I can think to mention it is if you, for some reason, want somebody to know it's there?
I mean I'm sure they didn't say, "I have socks on that I have no intention of removing while in your store. I also have shoes that will remain on me. My boxers, while you can't see them, will remain safely around my waist and under my pants."
If it's concealed, and not against the law but against policy, keep it concealed and keep your mouth shut or face the consequences [being asked to leave or to disarm outside].
Just ****ing carry (legally, of course) and go on with your business, folks. I never will understand the debate. Just do your thing and be smart about it. We Hoosiers are fortunate our laws are mute on method of carry. Let's keep it that way. Arguing over how we exercise our right, especially when threatened like now, makes no sense to me. Unite, people.
And for Christ's sake if you haven't figured out carry in your LGS...
I prefer concealed carry,I have been employed in conditions that required me to open carry in busy places, and I prefer not to have to watch everyone's hands so closely.I do appreciate the statement that OCrs are making...maybe it is time to push BACK,and not stay at home quietly thankful for the "rights" granted to us!
I wonder if there is any statistical proof of the danger of death at a gun shop by accidental discharge as compared to a lineman,or garbage man.I bet it is a pretty safe job.
I have to ask....this is a gun shop that doesn't want you carrying???? I had to have missunderstood....
Most, if not all, of the major gun shops in the Indianapolis area have a "no loaded guns" sign prominently displayed at their entrance. Whether or not they really mean it is a matter of debate, and the compliance rate is unknown, but the signs are clearly posted.
No, they don't.
You're probably right, Bradis does, PSS does, Highsmith doesn't, I don't think Elmores or Outdoorsman do, ITP has an okay sign, any others I can't comment on.
