If it doesn't get repealed it looks like there will be massive non-compliance at least which would most likely put things in perspective for the New Yorkers who do support this.

The people are too stupid to know what they want and what is good for them.

For just a split second after I read what you posted, I saw red. :xmad: Then I remembered what site I was on. I have lots of gun-haters from my college days on my facebook feed.

    Thank God for :ingo:

Can't see the link here at work. But I am assuming this is what happens when you forget that there are other area's in your state besides NYC.

I hope they get that repaealed, for everyones sake.

How is Andy Cuomo going to deal with this? Declare martial law?

This is going to look great on his resume for prez in 2016.
Cuomo is like every other Liberal/Socialist.
He believes that he is right and the rest of the known Universe is wrong.
    As far as Martial Law.....
My guess is he'll at least threaten to send the National Guard out to collect those evil "assault weapons".
If he actually does it I hope he gets the same reception that Gen. Gage got when he tried to collect the Colonists guns in 1775.

They're already talking about using the various Sheriff's departments to perform random inspections.

The ammo registration is a big deal, whether people realize it or not. It's not just the NICS checks. They're recording all sales and the volume thereof.

"Oh, Mr. Smith just bought 500 rds of 7.62 X 39? Has Mr. Smith registered an 'assault weapon' with the State Police? No?"

Wham -- flashbang -- "Everybody on the floor" (shoot Pomeranian)

Andy thinks he's going to be a Party leader as a result, but when the first incident like the above comes down, other Dems will run from him. Especially when the comparisons to the USSR begin. The Dems who voted for it won't be able to burrow deep enough.

Upstate new yorkers are a minority to the city dwellers of NYC. As with other laws that get forced upon them they are generally a silent voice in such matters. I hope I am wrong.

You aren't wrong. Sixty per cent of NY's voting populace live in the NYC metro area. Just like Chicago drives Illinois' policies, so too does NYC drive NYS.

Thanks for the link OP. I'm from Greene County, upstate, and didn't see hometown on the list. Sent some emails to family & friends who are decent 'community organizers' :D :ar15:

Looks like there's a good chance that Cuomo's grandstanding may cost him big-time politically, and Bloomberg too. It would be so poetic to see that come to pass.

Remember: In NYC, guns have been completely banned for decades. Which is why it is filled with neighborhoods like this:

Cassie Rodenberg • In the Bronx, Rights Get Fuzzy

Sarah: Hunts Point, Bronx | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

Michael: Hunts Point, Bronx | Flickr - Photo Sharing!

The goal of Cuomo and other communist liberal pigs is to turn the entire country into a place just like the one in the above links. They want 18-year old convicted felon cops on every corner ready to brutally beat or murder anyone who looks at them "wrong".

And remember, if guns are illegal, the millions and millions of drug dealers will also no longer use guns. Ohh....wait....

    ny sucks anyways!!

Yep. Unfortunately I grew up there. Moving to Indiana was the best thing I ever did. I'll bet you a million dollars (that I don't have) that Indiana would handle a Sandy-level disaster about a thousand times better than that trash-filled crap-hole. Sandy was proof that the government HATES the citizens of NY.

They flagrantly shut down supply routes after Sandy, the health dept went out of it's way to fine anyone giving food to the newly homeless (there was a post about that on this site actually) and they lied about how many people died. I am related by blood to 4 nurses at Staten Island University Hospital. HUNDREDS died that weekend. Not 43. Communist lowlife fascist POS's like Bloomberg and Cuomo would have you think otherwise.
