I am in need of some opinions. I have a few Remington collector tins of .22 ammo. Some are tins from Wal-Mart with wildlife scenes and some are Remington NASCAR shaped tins I have had both for about 3-4 years. Given the current shortage of .22 ammo I have considered shooting the ammo from these tins. What are you thoughts? Mistake...yes...no...maybe? Please advise. Thanks:dunno:

They honestly aren't going to be any more valuable than the cardboard boxed bricks. I say shoot them, then just set the tins on a shelf and refill them when 22 ammo is abundant again.

Who knows what the collector market would be for these unopened tins 50/60 years from now. Impossible to predict.

If I could predict such things I never would have sold my 72 Corvette.

I don't think they will have much collector value, and Remington bulk ammo is the worst .22 ammo I have ever shot. Very inconsistent, and many duds.

If you don't shoot them, one of these days you'll be in the nursing home and your neighbor who bought them in a garage sale for $5 will.

50/60 years from now?? Heck I'm 50 now that means I probably would not be around to cash in. Heck with that, I want to enjoy the shooting now. :D

You mean something like this?.... Unless you find a collector, no... Only worth the price of the ammo.

Walmart's business model is to sell in bulk. Though the production run was limited, I assure you there are tons of those tins out there, thus will be worth little in your lifetime.

HA, Just as there are tons of those PEZ dispensers that folks collect. And they aren't even a lifetime old yet.
