This is why you must never answer doctors' questions about whether firearms are present in your home, and never let them know you are felling "depressed!"

The NRA should be on the TV saying: what if this terrorist comes into your house with his "assault weapon" and "military grade" explosives? Wouldn't you want to save the children?

Why are we Always defensive? I agree with Kirk; bring out the offense!

Even going around HIPPA, something more would have to be done in order to get someone into the NICS system as unable to purchase. The law is Adjudicate with mental illness. Is this the start of a plan for the Feds to get the records and then have people declared mentally unfit? Heck, the easiest place to start would be VA, then they could disarm all of the "right wing extremist veterans."

I think they are already doing this.

As it stands now, I've not heard of people being denied a NICS check based on anything like this.

I'd be interested in the first case of a person being denied based on counseling or being prescribed a mood enhancing/anti-depressant drug (sorry if those are not interchangeable terms - I'm ignorant about the terminology).

It is known that only a person judged in court as mentally unstable is to be denied.

    Am I misinformed?

This is wrong on so many levels with the 2A and doctor-patient privacy being at the top. Keep overreaching, Barack, and Articles of Impeachment will be on your resume just like Slick Willie's.

I don't have a link but I read somewhere over the past two-three weeks that some vets were being denied because of PTSD.

I have given up on hoping for impeachment. I really don't think that there are enough strong willed uncorrupted people on the hill to start impeachment proceedings.:twocents:

    Where's the bacon?
There are enough to start the proceedings, yes, but why bother? Impeachment is the accusation, charging a crime. Once the president has been impeached by the House, he is then tried by the Senate, with the Chief Justice presiding. We all know the Democrat controlled Senate will not find any Democrat guilty.

And then there's the matter that we haven't had a President since 1/20/2009, when the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. moved in.

I'm still not convinced he's eligible to the job.

    Blessings,
    Bill

The only bad thing about impeaching BO is the fact that Walter, er, um, Uncle Joe would take his place. And that would likely be worse (If that is even possible).
