I'm sure it will be all over the news in the morning.
    Prayers for the family!

Thoughts and prayers also for Brian and his employees that were there at the time.
Let's hope this doesn't have negative effects on his business. Brian has been working his butt off for the last few years, many times working 24 hours a day, two and three days in a row to get and keep his business going. He sure doesn't need any negative publicity! Neither does the industry as a whole!

As most know me, I don't spend a lot of time on forums. This evening we had an unfortunate incident I heard was being discussed here. Sometimes, I guess people decide that they need to go out of this world in a big way. This evening a gentleman rented a gun from us and decided that is was his time to go. He used our range for his stage.
I will start by saying that hopefully anyone who reads this that may think that taking your life is the answer, it is not. It is a very selfish act and you leave your problems but leave your family, friends and others with your problems. There is noting that bad that you should leave this world and leave your problems to others. I personally have been thorugh a lot. Believe me, those that know me will tell you. I am still here. Killing yourself by any means is the easy way out and you only affect your family and friends. Hopefully, someone will read that and think twice. I am pissed and can not believe this happened. May seem selfish on my part but it did affect my business.
This gentleman did rent a gun for the range. It is a long story but he shot himself while on the range. After going over what took place it seems that this was his intention.
He affected a lot of lives today. I have to say a big Kudos to the first respoinders. This gentleman did not want to live and they did everything humanly possibly to save his life. I witnessed these fine men and women doing everything possible to save him. NO ONE should ever have to see something like this. They do it everyday without question. I served our country for almost 8 years and saw a lot of things that people should not see, or have to see. Today, affected me greatly as I had some customers and employees that saw something they should never have to see. I am more worried about them than I am about the selfish act that took place. I hope everyone will understand that we strive to provide a safe, fun, family atmosphere and that this is not the norm.
Our range will be closed tomorrow as we properly clean up the mess. The shop will be open. The range will reopen on Monday. Our heart felt sympathies go out the the family involved.

Will do Chris. I am not happy and the only good out of this as I told people was the first responders. They fought hard to save a person that did not want to be saved. To watch that affected me greatly. Everyone thank you policeman. firefighters and EMS. They are our true heroes. I know we say that all the time and it's always in tragedy that we thank the heroes. No one should ever have to see anything like that. Our Thoughts and prayers and with the family,

Brian, I tried to p.m., but your mailbox is full. Call or text if you need anything!
Just a thought, but are you ready for the onslaught coming when the media find out? Might be better to not say much except condolences to the family!?

I thought they got robbed or something because I was at work right next door when all of the police cars came roaring in but I didn't see an ambulance there.

Oh! By the way, I was headed south on I-65 at Edinburge, IN. when that accident happened yesterday also. The police and ambulances were still on they'er way there when I went by. Then when I came back north I got diverted up US-31 at Taylorsville, IN. all the way back to Madison and Troy. That was a mess too.

To do this in a public place is beyond selfish. It goes with the self centered act of taking your own life in this way. I grew up with 2 people who found their a dead parent when coming home from school. Separate incidents but both of them were never the same.

    Sorry guys, this is awful.

The business should be fine. We don't shut down subways when someone steps in front of a train.

Sad news, but on the bright side he did himself and decided not to take others with him or try to go out in a blaze of glory against the employees or police officers.

I don't think the media will pick up on it, or at least a big deal won't be made of it. They don't usually report about suicides, and someone doing it in public is not something they'd want to call attention to in fear of encouraging copy-cats.

Sorry to hear about this and sorry for the family and loved ones. Pisses me off that this person would do this at a range.
