My Neighbor's Pig is tearing up my flower beds!

So the losers down the street have a huge pig (about 250 lbs) that they just let roam the neighborhood. A couple other neighbors have talked to him about it, and he doesn't seem to care. He really doesn't want to keep the pig and has made it very clear that anyone who wants it can have it. He doesn't have a fence or rope to keep it confined to his yard. When it does go roaming the neighborhood, he doesn't have any way of retrieving it, since he is on house arrest and cannot leave his property. We just came home from church and the thing has made a huge crater in my wife's flower bed, and is laying in the middle of it. Needless to say, she is steaming mad. I think she is ready to go out and shoot it herself. I called the Sheriff and they informed me that Marshall County does not have Animal Control. They are going to dispatch a unit to my house, but not sure they can do anything.


Maybe the officer will put it down. INGO Hog Roast anyone?

Call the ACLU, tell them that you're a very devout Muslim, and that this infidel down the street is using his pet pig to desecrate your personal Mosque. That should get some results. (Just for good measure, tell them that you're Obama's cousin from Kenya.)

Tell them it charged you and you fired in self defense. That hog would be long dead if it was my property. If you are worried about discharging a firearm in your area then find someone that can get it with a bow.

It's been over 30 minutes since I called the Sheriff. I just called back and the dispatcher told me that they had contacted the owner (they apparently have a history of calls with this pig) and that he should have come over to get it. I told him that the pig is still there and if something doesnt happen soon, I'm going to shoot it. He said he would send and officer out. He also told me that I have every right to protect my property. If it's not gone in the next 30 minutes, I'm going for a little target practice with my bow.
