Any idea why I can't add files to my online album? (I've posted this twice before but the posts "Magically" disappeared.) :dunno:

You posted about attachments and your post was copied in to the original post of the thread and then deleted. Albums and attachments are two different things and we weren't able to do attachments previously.

You get to albums through the My Profile link at the top. https://www.indianagunowners.com/forums/album.php?do=addalbum

I think you are confusing things by using the terms interchangeably when they are not. I think you complaint is that your quota in the albums is too low.

We were able to do attachments in the past. Not being able to [at all] *is* new.

We have never been able to post attachments, only embed them from their host locations. Either INGO albums or elsewhere.

To give a quick description of each & why:

Message attachments are disallowed for a few reasons & album options adopted, a member has 10mb of Album storage, so they can use the same image over and over in a post, its still the same image in each post & still only using the same sized image, say 25kb over and over, not adding any space requirements for each post As the Albuim pic is wrapped in bbcode & parsed on the back side to display the original image.

If message attachments where allowed, the user continually uploads the same image over & over, then it adds 25kb every time he adds the image as a message attachment.

It isn't a space issue. It's the inability to actually upload images even with remaining space.

Okay I'll spell it out real slow that everyone can understand.
One of the "perks" of being a Site Supporter was having a 10 meg album hosted on the INGo server.
Prior to the recent vBulletin upgrade and styles/interface changes as a Site Supporter I could upload images to the INGO server.
These images could then be displayed within a post on INGO.
They could also be viewed elsewhere if the person viewing it was a logged in member of INGO.
After the vBulletin upgrade and styles/interface change I can view my online album and insert the images into a post.
    I can create new albums.
However I cannot add images to any of the albums.
I can delete images from the album.
It is not a space issue with the uploading. I am using very little of the space. I am using 329 K of the alotted space, which appears to be 2 meg instead of the previous 10meg. This info is arrived by clicking User CP then attachments. https://www.indianagunowners.com/forums/profile.php?do=editattachments
There is not a way to add photos.
Previously you could attach a photo/upload it to a general album within the new thread action or the reply to post action.

If I need to make it clearer please advise. This isn't rocket science.

This ^^^^^^^^^^^^ appears to be the same issue that I am experiencing.

My "albums" show I have a 1MB quota, which I am currently WAY over (about 4MB). So, I cannot upload images.

Strange - because I remember linking to images I found in posts on INGO in the past, and others couldn't see them because they were not members. I had to save the image and re-upload it or screen capture it to share it. I suppose it could have been something posted to an album and then included - but I don't remember.

That said - my memory could be faulty.

I still cannot get the "reply" or "reply with quote" tab to work.
Running windows 7 pro. Logged off logged on. Reset options in UserCP , still get the circling asteroid thingy when I click on those tabs.
