No, considering I started the thread, I know exactly what its purpose was.

School is in session. A "post" is an single statement. A "thread" is a body of multiple posts. This thread contains multiple posts regarding the carrying of a rifle and the reaction of police. Your intent may have been to focus on the latter, but the former is on equal (actually superior) footing in regards to the number of posts relating. Ergo, this "thread" is primarily about both issues.

I think you missed the second part of the sentence.

This thread is not about the controversial topic of carrying a rifle, despite what you all have made it in to.

If they are just standing there like that I have no problem, but what they were doing was a lot more than just standing there looking intimidating now wasn't it?

They look kind of silly to me
Nothing intimidating about those loosers. Silly looking is right. I must have missed them at our polling place. I think I would have had to have said something to them

You must be privy to info the rest of us don't have. We have no idea what the officers were dispatched to, other than a MWAG in a McDonald's. If I know that there's a man with a gun in a place, and I look in the windows to gain some intel, yet see no one fitting that description, I'm not going to "holster up" and walk in thinking everything is fine.
But are you going to walk in and yell "who's got the AR?"? And yank the slung rifle from around the guys neck?
