My only complaint with .380 is that I haven't found a gun that shoots it that fits my big hands. .380 will no doubt kill. My son liked it but it wasn't cost effective for a plinker.

Someone whom was very close to me was shot and killed... robbery, .22lr to back of the head.
My cousin home was burglarized... upon entering he realized the theif was still in his house. He was shot twice, in the face, by .40. He's blind in both eyes, and had much reconstruction... but he's alive and kickin. Still his same old goofy self.

Why are people snobbish about guns and caliber? I was picking up some 380 ammo and the smart guy next to me said it would only **** someone off, I reminded him of the shootout video where the officer fatally shot a person that got into a car and drove off. I am sure he was shooting a caliber greater than 380. And hell if I am ever on the wrong end of a gun I am not going to question a caliber.

I carry what I can in the situation, of course I prefer my 45's, but I will carry what I can when I can. Sometimes going small is the only option.

Maybe he was just jacking with you trying to start up a conversation and you just got your feelings hurt because your caliber was smaller than his caliber.

(ah hm ... I am just jacking with you).

I can't answer why guys always seem to comment on other guys' choices when it is clear they want to have a **** measuring contest. Carrying a .454 Casull IWB does not a bigger Johnson make.

    .380

I have two .380s... Both Bersa. One is a Model 97 and the other is a Thunder. That round is about 3/8" in diameter and puts a nice hole in a paper target at 25 feet. It shoots where I point it. And I certainly would not want to be in front of it.

With an IWB holster, it conceals very nicely under most of my tops.

Of course, I don't want to get shot with a pellet gun or a BB gun either.

If I want to **** someone off, I'll just get out my GSG 1911-22, and maybe they'll think it is a .45 cal and drop dead from fright! :D

I don't see to many news stories about people being robbed after they shoot the person. I don't think the robber is going to ask what caliber gun your holding.
