    Totally agree.
I got a hold of ISP today to find out about my LTCH, it turns out I didn't put a state for my home address on my application? I was told since I forgot it the computer defaulted to the other address with the state filled in. I'm not sure how I forgot but they are going to send me a new license, fingers crossed that it gets here quick! I also asked about if it was ok to carry and was told technically I'm legal but it could cause some issues since the address on the license and the one they have for me won't match my ID. I guess I'm just going to play it safe and not carry until I get my new license.

Man, that sucks. Well, at least it didn't get tossed into some pile for "further research". You could have waited months.

    Hope it gets there soon.

we'll at least I know for certain the state thinks I'm a proper person. No reason for them not to, but there's always that thought that there's somebody else with my name that is a bad, bad man…

    Congrats to her

    Thanks

I went to her five year old sons Basketball practice and was talking to her about what she wanted to carry. She said she wasn't ready to carry yet. She said when she does it won't be on her person, but in her purse instead. She has 6, 5 & 3 year old boys and a 1 yr old girl. The 6 & 3 year old boys are very curious and have no willpower to not mess with things even if they know they will get punished. I think they think "I have to do this because I might never have another chance"

I think it is too risky to carry in her purse. She needs it on her person. Any suggestions from anybody that has been through this before?

So i received a bad letter today... seems I was denied... I forgot to list a driving while suspended back in 1998... Seriously they reject cause you don't remember every little thing. instead of calling say hey we have a small situation... explain it and over. I am sure not everyone remembers all the minor b.s. stuff. sent a appeal letter in today.

Too bad your memory isn't as good as the State Police's memory.
I hope that it all work out for you and welcome to INGO.

I paid for my lifetime carry state fee and electronic fingerprinting on 02/24/2014. I got fingerprinted on Saturday 03/01/2014 and had to wait to pay my local fee at the Hancock county sheriff's department on Monday 03/03/2014. I received my license in the mail Thursday 03/06/2014. So it took less than 2 weeks to receive my license after paying the initial fee and it took only 4 days to receive it after paying my local fee.

On a side note. Does anyone else feel that the L1 fingerprinting location on the East side of Indy seemed a little shady lol? The workers were polite and professional, but the office definitely left a lot to be desired.

I might be in same boat as you. Did you not list anything at all ? Or did you have other things to list? I got in some trouble 20+ years ago and don't remember exactly what the charges were. Been waiting since December for ISP. Keep us posted on your appeal.

I completed the online application on 2/13/14(and ordered a Alien Gear IWB holster on same day). Did L1 fingerprinting on 2/14/14. Called Sheriff's office on 2/17/14. Was told they would not accept local payment until they had received background check and Sheriff's approval. Recommended to wait two weeks and call back, so I called back on 2/28/14, they had received it, and I paid local on same day. My holster arrived on Wednesday and my pink paper was in my mailbox today. Is it normal for the local law enforcement to not allow payment until the background check was passed? It seemed different than the process other report on here, but it was nice knowing my background check was passed and the approved application was being submitted the same day I made my local payment.

Every jurisdiction seems to follow their own set of rules. Carmel used to make applicants come in for a "sit down" with the Chief of po-po. When the Sandy Hook floodgate opened, he soon discontinued that practice.

Anyway, it's behind you and you are GTG. Welcome to the club..
