These people are searching endlessly for things to "Head line".....news at 11 tatatada.

My wife was watching the news last night (makes me ****ing crazy) and the music build up was so loud you could not hear the talking heads announce what their little segment would contain. Beat the drum, draw them in, sell air time.....they all suck.
    Man I feel better.

I saw that, some woman lost a hand from flying debris. Breaking news! Your an idiot for improper use of a potentially dangerous explosive and for being to close!!!

And immediately after the article is shown, people need to respectfully comment on their FB page and Twitter accounts, pointing out the errors/insinuations/agenda-points of it.

Show them that we do know what we are talking about and doing.

Otherwise, they'll be the ones getting to our legislators who get to decide what is legal and not.

Actually Tannerite isn't classified as an explosive, is it? (Let's not fall for the 'assault weapon' ploy, using evil labels to make stuff scarier.)

I saw WTHR's "Special Report" on tannerite last year. It's started with a video of some younger people putting a quantity of tannerite in a drier or washing machine in a field and then shooting it. The charge was too much, and the washer was way too close. Shrapnel flies everywhere, including back at the shooters and the bystanders where it hits one woman in the hand.

This is the woman in question:
Woman who nearly lost hand to explosive still recovering - 13 WTHR Indianapolis

Nowhere in the report does it point out how incredibly stupid these people were to detonate a metal box filled with an explosive that close. Instead they went on to do another report on it where they got a bunch of police together to tell us how easy it would be for a terrorist to use and then blow up a mailbox full of it.

Senator wants to limit "easy access" to dangerous explosives - 13 WTHR Indianapolis

That report also included an interview with a state senator Jim Merrit who was there. The following year this bill was submitted to the legislature regulating that tannerite sales be limited to people 18 years of age or older and that it has to be locked up behind a counter:

    Introduced Version, Senate Bill 0262
    http://www.in.gov/legislative/bills/2013/PDF/IN/IN0262.1.pdf

Also, they referred to this woman as a tannerite Victim. I prefer to think of her as a victim of her own bad choices.

Yeahm I just saw this same ad. --> An irresponsible user does not a bad (i.e. dangerous) product make. Who's stupid enough to put tannerite IN a larger/external container and not expect there to be shrapnel.
Why don't they run a report on ladders, hammers, and lawnmowers, which will certainly injure plenty of people over the next 6 months?? No political buzz or catchy headlines, that's why

So fertilizer is too dangerous to own? Why not toss toilet bowl cleaner and bleach on that list too? The list of common chemicals that people keep in their homes that can potentially kill is long and very common. Follow the directions and things turn out just fine. Make it up as you go, and things go bad fast. If people cant figure out to keep their distance when things go boom, they get what they get, no remorse here for stupidity that only affects the individual.
