No surprise at all. He needs to find a new job when that Senate seat is available for installing his replacement.

    Thanks again, Richard Mourdock! UGH!

No joke. That moment when he crashed and burned during the debate was painful (and I'm not even a Republican). He was up by 10 points until then, if I recall.

The funny thing is that I talked to Andy Horning about that later and he said that he was so focused on his notes and what he was planning on saying next that he didn't really register that comment by Mourdock. So he missed the exact moment when one of his opponents effectively ended his career.

I don't know whose man donnelly is supposed to be. Even the union members who thought he was their champion have lost their love for him. With Coats retiring, this next election will be critical if Indiana does not want to end up like the slum growing, commie states of the east coast.

Unpossible. I learned on INGO that splitting our tickets, and sending occasional votes to politicians like Donnelly, was how we could persuade Democrats to our point of view?

(Unless...my memory is getting a little "squirrely"...cough...and I remembered that wrong?)

You mean the moment when he said he thought God was responsible for all life?

A bunch of dumbasses voted out Dick Lugar and voted a real screwball into the Republican candidate spot. The screwball lost to Donnelly.

Lugar had been involved in a treaty during that election cycle that would have really neutered US sovereignty. It didn't go over well. He was culpable in that mess.

Yeah, it was Lugar's time to go. He proved that as one of his first actions was to start funding D's for office. Unfortunately, his challenger had diarrhea of the mouth during his last freaking debate of he might have won. Donnelly is a tool of the left, a solid vote for Pelosi in the house now a solid vote for Reid.

Too bad the electorate is as stable as a squirrel with ADHD and can swing a vote based on the last quip regardless of how irrelevant.
