I'm looking forward to a Thanksgiving CZ release. Have speculation or info?

Per the website they are designed to take the same mag as the P07, are the P09's the same just a bit longer?

The P07 mags hold 15 rounds of 9mm or 12 rounds of .40 S&W. The P09 mags fit the P07s and hold 19 rounds of 9mm or 15 rounds of .40 S&W. There are factory +2 extensions that let you run the 9mm P09 mags with 21 rounds of ammo. When I carry my P07, it's with the +2 giving it a solid 17+1 in a still compact form.

    I'm out.
Unless I find a new one super duper low priced - I doubt that will happen.

I better just keep saving for a SCAR and nothing else. I say that now...

The biggest obstacle between me buying the first one I see in .40 is that lately I've stopped looking at unshot guns in my collection as trade fodder for new guns and instead have started to see them as trade fodder for car parts.

eh, they went the opposite direction of what i was hoping. Same size different firing controls. I was hoping for same fire control/style and different size than the P-07/P-09. I'm sure it'll be good, but i dont think i'll probably get one. dang.

Perhaps a subcompact. I could do that, but only if it shoots like God intended a CZ to shoot. Slide looks too tall for me. Time will tell....

After watching the video again, I see what you mean about the slide height. It's definitely taller than the previous slides, so I have to wonder if the slide still rides inside the frame instead of outside of it.

I caught a glimpse, it was hard to tell. Slide does NOT ride inside the frame.

I was actually thinking about this yesterday. If you think about it, they took what everyone complained about on the G**** and addressed it. Other than the fact that it's ugly.... P07/09 are much prettiererer.
I actually bet it is a sweet piece for what it is!psykoFor a polymer gun the P-07 and P-09 are awesome and I bet it is to.

John from the Gun Collective actually had some interesting insight on why it looks the way it looks.

Cliffs: it's "ugly" to be plain to attract people who may stray away from the more stylized shapes of the P07/09

He may have a point. 'Ugly' seems to be pretty attractive to a large number of gun buyers if you consider how many ugly poly guns have sold.

It's like they think if it's ugly, then it's all about how it works... like a decent looking firearm takes away from the reliability and usability of it.
