Both eFiles that were submitted 7/9/16 were corrected and resent today by Ted Clutter.

Thank you Dave for the tip.

I called Rugged Suppressors to get advice on a flash Hider or a Brake for my 300 BO SBR and my Grandsons Roger American Rifle in 300 BO. I'm going with two 5/8x24 Brakes and a 1/2x28 piston for the Obsidian to be used on 9mm and 22LR.

They couldn't take my order today due to the company they use for Credit Card purchases needing to reboot their server. The reboot couldn't be done until midnight tonight.

Some bad Karma been hittin my Class III progress.

    Tomorrow is another day tho.

came in yesterday and I finally picked it up. wheww, that took forever!

I guess there's hope for some of us. My Form 4 with Trust for a .30 cal can was mailed July 5 and received July 7. Check cashed on July 11. Any day I hope. Crossed fingers . . .
This is really hard for me as I got my first taste of Class III items when I could e-file a form 1 and it was approved in 30 days . . :(

Still waiting on stamp to arrive at dealer.

Honestly i called the NFA branch and had my serial number on hand. Within 30 seconds i had my status, and when it was approved. Very easy for anyone that is wondering where there can is. Good luck everyone. This process was ridiculous.

I just called on my form 1:

    1. NFA Item: SBR
    2. Form Type: Form 1
    3. Transferee Type: Trust by Mail
    4. Forms Sent: 01/23/2017
    5: Credit Card Charged: 01/26/2017
    6: Pending: 01/27/2017
    7: Approval Date:

Was told it “should be approved in the next month or two.” They’re currently working on August & September 2016 and they received the same number of forms from Aug ’16 through April ’17 as they did in just July ’16 (pre-41f). I was expecting to have to wait til damn near the new year so pretty psyched!

I've a suppressor from Oct. 2016, that I didn't expect until end of this month at the earliest...
Unsure how working on Aug & Sept of 2016 equates to same delay as Jan 2017, but I've never been one to make sense of the ATF

Because of the massive drop in forms submitted post 41f. Stolen from nfatracker.com:

The guy at the shop shared some numbers but I am taking them with a huge grain of salt.

    He said:
-The ATF currently processes 7.5k-10k applications a week.
-For the first half of 2016, they received 250k applications
-For the second half of 2016, they received 30k-50k applications. Same for the first half of 2017

If that's remotely true, the 2nd half of 2016 will take just over a month to finish up. Not to mention, there's plenty of August, September & even October approvals already showing up over there.

Several days ago, I got a call from my FFL. He gave me new forms for my suppressor to fill out, including new fingerprint cards and new passport photos were required. ATF cashed my check in August, 2016. I got the paperwork completed and mailed off the next day. I don't know what this is all about, unless the originals were lost or the original forms were outdated. I sure hope I don't have to wait another year.

If your check wasn't cashed until 2016, then there's a possibility that when he filled out your form 4 the first time he used the old form 4 and not the new one (revised May 2016).

Do you remember on your original form if the amount of tax transfer was in the right hand or left hand corner?

Too much water under that bridge. Even though the forms may have been outdated, what about the new fingerprint cards and passport photo? Looks like I'm back to the bottom of the deck.:crying:

Do you have an examiner assigned? I had an error once and Ted Clutter was the examiner, I thought I was going to the bottom but he worked mine through and approved it the next day after the correction. Other people have had similar positive stories with Ted. If you know who your examiner is you can email them directly.

No. I only called them once many months ago, to make sure that they still had my package. I don't know how I'd find out who the examiner is and I'd kind of hate to tie up an examiner with an e-mail, when he or she could be working on processing paperwork.

If they have to do new passport photos and fingerprint cards...sounds like your forms were outdated and you waited a long time for nothing. If you submit the old forms post 41F, they won't get kicked back until they reach an examiner.....months later

Now I'm really confused. So, since the forms the FFL gave me to fill out in July 2016, were outdated, I start over at the end of the queue, like I thought?
