It is so sad, he seemed to just be starting to turn things around and become a loved and respected member on the INGO. I always looked forward to seeing what was going to be posted next.

"Any of you guys ever have the urge to just shoot somebody?"

    One in the "gunny" thread.

That was the strangest one I have ever witnessed, but I haven't really witnessed that many. They usually happen after I have went to bed and the next day I try to reconstruct what happened in the thread. I always end up thinking there must have been more to it, but after witnessing this one live I realize I was wrong to think that it should make sense when you read it later.

I'm still trying to figure it out.
No one's explaining it to me.
Except, I think somehow it's Kut's fault. :dunno:

I wonder if there is a limit to how many people you can have on your ignore list.

For you it might be easier to have a do not ignore list :):

If you use the virtual-ignore list, it's potentially unlimited, but practically limited by the number of people posting.

It's really not an ignore list anyway. You still know the person you'd like to ignore is posting and when someone quotes him/her, you see that too. It'd be cool to have a super-ignore feature. None of those places in the thread that so-and-so-posted-here-but-you've-got-them-on-ignore-so-you-can't-see-what-they-posted messages, none of those visible quotations in other peoples' posts -- a complete sanitization. :D

Custom chrome plugin... have to manually add people to it, but it wipes out their entire post. As though it was never made.

Only two people worthy enough for me to mess with something like that.

Edit: Here's what it looks like if I added Jamil to it. You can only tell by the post number skipping. But yeah, doesn't help with quoted stuff... not that it's that much of a bother anyway.

I've played around with the ignore feature but it's too much trouble for me. I don't believe I've ever added any plug ins to Chrome. Which one is this? I'm not sure how it's working but if I can detect individual posts, I'm thinking I could find embedded posts and sanitize them as well. Then, it'd be almost like the offending poster never existed.

    I dream of that "innovation."

Back in the early 1990s when the unix text-based conferencing software like Picospan was around, someone created a unix utility for the WeLL he called the "bozo filter." Using it hid both the original messages and other users' quotes of anyone on the bozo filter list. It was awesome.

I could never put anyone on my ignore list....It's almost a form of self censorship...Like I am too fragile to see a fellow Hoosier and gun owner's thoughts....Whenever mrjarrell would post something I agreed with I would send him rep with a lengthy explanation of why....I figured he couldn't ingonore rep...

Ingonore.....I like that word better than that "ignore".....

    Yeah...Ingonore....Nice...
