    Could be anywhere
As I'm sure all the Native American tribes were living together in peace with an established united border, 3 branches of Government, and a Constitution at that time.

Yeah, the three branches of tribal government, theft, kidnapping and torture, murder. It's a balanced institution that always assures justice is done for the tribe.

In real life, or on INGO?

In the real a few times and on FB.
I have a progressive socialist branch on my family tree and while they are not Ninja/pink hat wearing activists they are off the deep end. The nephew got reminded of my dark side a month or so ago. It was most unpleasant for him. This is the new label they use when you have "Old White Guy" political views. You know, like a 2A mindset. Like standing by the "Documents" as they are written not as living breathing things.

I hear ya loud and clear....I have a few of them in my family. One who spews hatred towards me and anyone else that she disagrees with. She and a few other "family" HATE me; literally. I no longer communicate with any of them. I had to go to a wedding recently and some were there. Their eyes got big and they were very quiet when I was around.....like "he's really here"? They are very bold on the internet but shrink when in person. I have another family member who is one of those snowflakes; lover Sanders because everything would be free. We had it out during the 2016 elections.....he had to leave because just looking at me was upsetting him.

Unfortunate - let's disagree but let's keep it civil - we are family, right? Not to them.....I am the enemy.

Dad has a couple of granddaughters (my nieces) that are not going to come over to his house for Thanksgiving this year because he tells them socialism is bad via facebook etc. (hippy dip****s)
Same ones that sent him a bag of cheetos when Trump won. They are a lost cause.

I have stated many times these fools have every right to think/feel/express the idiotic rhetoric they are pushing and yes, Bernie Sanders side show snake oil :poop:
When I call them on this (and I do...:):) they get angry. Literally angry that I do not think as they do. I again express they have the right do be as they are and I would defend that to the end. At any cost. I then ask if they would do the same for me. They get a deer in the headlights look and say why. Why should they. I do not think like a modern american. I am a NAZI throw back. At that very moment I showed them the costs involved with espousing that crap. I thought the 2 nephews were going to pee themselves. Total girly men. The girls had more balls than they did. Maybe thats whats wrong now. They woman have these guys nuts in their purses.
It is a sad time that I have lived to see the demise of the republic. We are truly doomed.

And no, I will not be going to any more family gatherings on that side of my family.

I've had to teach several people that thought the 2nd amendment was outdated and you didn't "need" it.
    Till they needed it.
Then they get outraged when I tell them some of the laws they will have to deal with.

The resident assistant at my uni told me that me what I said “discomforted some students” after I said that Marxism encourages people to shoot the rich and take their stuff

for ****’s sake, my family actually experienced that ****. So much for tolerance, I guess.

They are okay with "discomforting", as long as they aren't "discomforted".

My family back home were not happy when I started to appreciate the Second Amendment, but they started to avoid the topic instead of trying to argue. My wife's family has both Republican and Democrat supporters and are still trying to work out my political affiliation.

Sad thing is that for years the label "Racist" was the last refuge of the person who ran out of any real argument.

If you don't mind me asking, where did your nieces learn that it it was ok to make politics personal within your family?

School as far as I can tell. Parents weren’t like that, my sister just didn’t yank a knot in their tail when they were younger. One of their husbands is a real piece of ****.

People think that this nonsense is contained in just a few progressive bubbles, and maybe it mostly is, but it’s growing so fast, maybe we’re far past that. My in-laws are pretty far left, and I’ve mentioned here some of the bat**** crazy stuff they believe, but we still get along. I’ll be seeing them over the holidays. So I’m not convinced it’s a lost cause, that we’ve “lost the republic”, but ai’m also not convinced we’re all that close to swinging the pendulum back.

My wife’s sister and her husband are pushing 50, so they still know how to disagree agreeably. It’s the young people who are growing up without the social skills to face disagreement that I’m concerned about. These people will someday be the leaders. As the sane people die off, this largely socially inept generation will carry on.

As to your last sentence........this is what I reference as to we are loosing the republic. When these little snots take over it is done.

My Bernie supporting little cousin is coming to visit from Portland, OR Monday for the week...Knows I'm a huge Trump supporter (as is her LEO brother and ALL of her family here). I got a text from her last night...."Love you cuz and can't wait to see you...Counting down the days...Congrats on your Younger/Dryas impact crater being found...You've always been ahead of the curve on such things...Miss you and love you bunches!!!!!"

She's thirty now...Last Christmas her and her husband were over and we were sipping bourbon in the basement...They are big global warming believers..Al Gore came and gave a talk at her school when she was young in NH...I queried to them, "There is a protest against coal miners and global warming supporters...The protest ends...Who do you want to go hang out with, the other protesters or the miners?"

    Silence, then both..."the coal miners..."

I said, "Think about that for a bit whenever you have got some time...."
