I have a red oak to cut up and split, strangely it's a wood that rots very fast on the forest floor so while it's great firewood, you have to get it under a tarp quickly.

Family weekends, like this one, I miss our bus. It wasn’t magic. We just called it Mrs Mcapos bus.

Well, actually, we used her first name but you get the point.

I do. I just reviewed the weather. It will be Wednesday before I do the bus.
I did find the leak on the AC system. It is also in connection with the aux unit. Just not real sure what to do about it as yet. I will have an answer come spring.

I always figured that soft woods like poplar and saw tooth aspen would rot first, but it doesn't work out that way. White oak seems to last forever.

This wasn't a good year for hunting in general, saw less than at any time I've been out. You always see some, just not the ones I was after. Muzzle loader season has been good to me last few years though.

Last night I saw 6 or 8 deer in the field by my neighborhood, couldn't tell exactly how many or if there were any antlers in the bunch.

My yard is usually full of deer this time of year but the oaks (and hickories for the squirrels) produced nothing this year. Not sure where they are feeding or on what. The result is I've seen very few deer lately.

Heat, bend, anneal, file, check. Heat, bend, anneal, file, check. Finally you get there. I need to see if I can get AllenM to make some gauges for this job.

The hand spring is working as is the sear spring, which was fixed today. Revolver timed, now on to the trigger return spring and gate spring.

I made this Black Friday move without consulting our optic specialist, the illustrious Spicyweiner ! ..... but I hope that he approves.
Having heard good things about the SWFA SS fixed scopes (made by LOW of Japan ? / maybe I'm thinking of something else), when they popped-up for $100 off, I jumped, even though I have no idea what rifle it's for ! :D
The deal appears to be still active, if anyone else is interested.

I would have preferred the side-focus model, instead of the rear-focus, but those weren't on sale. I don't think that'll be a big deal for me, as the 10X I purchased will only be for a fun, bench rifle ..... and not a hunting rifle. If it take some extra gyrations to focus, no biggie for me.
These have had great reviews forever, and for $200, that's pretty much chump-change in the world of optics.

I feel like he'd have more luck listing separately, but what do I know? :dunno: I just can't see anyone buying all of those in one go.

Nothing there to get excited about. Separate the group and price them accordingly. Not a knock on the seller just an opinion as to the sale.
