On TRULY the wrong guy's land, we'll see their faces on milk cartons because the dude chose to SSS and happens to own acreage AND a backhoe.

Reminds me of the joke where the guy catches the burglar in his house at gunpoint, and calmly reaches behind him and locks the front door, and then stands there staring at the burglar with a huge smile.
"Arent you going to call the cops?"
"why? Nobody but you knows you are here"

    From IDNR:

119 combined violations, illegally killing more than 20 deer in Indiana and Illinois.
Sounds like the little bastards need a road trip with their ankles tied to the back bumper. Poaching is one thing but being sadistic about it and killing for the sheer hell of it is entirely different. I could have sympathy if that were what they had to do to put food on the table, but they didn't even go to the trouble of picking up or eating what they killed.

Yeah, the one thing that stood out was the sadistic behavior. And to see that these are just misdemeanor charges makes me cringe. If someone would do this to a deer, what would it take to do this to another person?

Isnt there a saying that most (if not all) of the worst killlers (Dhamer, Gacy, Gein, etc) were known to have abused and tortured animals in their youth?

Yeah, I think I have heard that same thing. Doesn't seek like it would take much for someone who has no remorse to move from one living thing(deer) to another(human).

I have no sympathy for poachers even if they need food. There are TOO many taxpayer funded giveaways and food pantries for them to be poaching.

Poachers are thieves and I freakin' hate thieves. It's unfortunate that these crimes don't rise to the felony level and that they are juveniles. Whatever punitive actions the courts dole out will probably not be enough to stop them from repeating this behavior in the future. The next time their victims could be human.
Indiana`s record of prosecuting and severe punishment is abysmal on many levels. Trespass is a glaring example. It`s extremely difficult to get someone prosecuted for trespass, and even if you DO get a prosecution and conviction, the weak and nearly meaningless penalties show how little the courts care about the rights of property owners to keep vermin OFF their land.

Exactly. One wonders if there is a way to address this as criminal insanity with mandatory confinement and treatment.

    Could be anywhere
Granddad poached during the great depression to feed the family. Killing rabbits with a silenced savage lever gun. Not the same as just killing **** to because you think it's cool. I knew kids who did that when I was young.
