"The latest Echelon Insights survey of the race, which was conducted between June 26 and June 29, has former President Donald Trump capturing almost a majority of respondents, with 49% backing him.

DeSantis is 33 points back, at 16%. Meanwhile, third-place Vivek Ramaswamy is just six points behind DeSantis, with a 10% showing that is among his best performances in any national survey."

There's still a long way to go and plenty can happen. Right now DeSantis is spinning his wheels while Ramaswamy seems to be getting a little traction. Trump still has the odds in his favor. It will be interesting to see how D'tis and Swamy perform on the debate stage.

Interesting to hear a Presidential candidate, albeit a long-shot, advocate for military force in Mexico to combat the flood of fentanyl across our southern border, which is allegedly being facilitated by China.

Why? Because Ukraine isn't enough money for the Military/Industrial complex ?

Wouldn't it be cheaper to control the border? I don't think firefights with the cartels will do much about the flood of illegals, either

Isn't there a lesson from Afghanistan about the cost of fighting asymmetric warriors who have the support of the populace and hold the ground we wish to patrol?

Given that Obama was a come out of left field dark horse who told the people what they wanted to hear but was evasive on the implementation of things, I believe the case could be made for Ramaswamy as the Obama for the right

I prefer to think of him as our Rishi Sunak

He is starting to get my attention. First, he appears to have actually read the Constitution.

Unfortunately, there is a problem with the "we are going to shut them down" rhetoric, accomplishing what he proposed requires a veto proof majority in both houses. Without the Executive and Legislative branches being in sync, the level of reform needed cannot happen.

I will give him points for enthusiasm however; and having a practical understanding of our government and the Bill of Rights.

You mean like draining the swamp?

Politicians gonna politician. At least he's talking the talk coherently. Nice to hear an articulate expression of ideas from the right side of the aisle, rather than petulant rants.

Can you imagine this level of discourse from Big Orange?
