    In the corn and beans
All of the already listed movies. And I’m a fan of the modern Tom Selleck movies, Crossfire Trail, Monte Walsh, Last Stand at Saber River, and of course Quigly. I like the attention to real guns n leather kit.

The good the bad and the ugly
Once apon a time in the west.
    The searchers.

These three are for fans of movies and not fans of westerns. More of a I see what the music is saying and I hear what the picture is showing.

They are also good stories. I wrote my college movie class (had to take a elective and history of rock and roll was filled) thesis on the first 14 minutes of "once apon a time in the west".

My wife and I watched How The West Was Won last night (We'll, I watched it. I think she slept through it).
It's 2.5 hours and loaded with big-name stars of the day. Not exactly a Western as it starts around 1840 when Ohio WAS the West and runs well past the civil war.

She Wore a Yellow Ribbon - John Wayne (acting), Monument Valley (setting), John Ford (directing) - all the elements of a classic western.

Trivia - the post headquarters building, where Captain Brittles is quartered in the film, still exists and is located at Goulding's Trading Post near Monument Valley. Cool to see if you’re out that way.
