Exactly. All three of my revolvers behave properly when I behave properly. This 'behavior' only happens when I intentionally don't allow full trigger reset.
This 'behavior' seems to happen A LOT with Taurus 856 & 605 models. Any chance that is user error? Weak spring(s)? I'd consider an...
I have been on a revolver kick of late. Recent purchases: S&W 442, S&W 686+ 4", Charter Arms Off Duty. Sidenote: My CA Off Duty continues to perform admirably after a trip to Customer Service.
Anyhoo, I was getting in my dry-fire practice, and full and partial reload practice with my Off Duty...
Thanks. I was unaware of the distinction. CA CS explained that since it was my gun, there was no transfer requirement. They did not mention that they could do that, and I could not.
Ownership is not changing. You are simply sending HIS gun to HIM. Manufacturers do it all the time. My warranty-repaired Charter Arms revolver got back to the factory via a UPS call tag. I packed it up and took it to UPS. 11 days later, I got a UPS delivery (to my house) from Charter Arms...
More to the point, can anyone explain why there are so freakin' many butt-ugly guns on the market these days? I thought my G21 was bit on the drab side when I bought it. But it doesn't go out to the way to look completely idiotic.
Nice piece of hardware! And pretty, too. Thirty some years ago I had a model 57 .41 Magnum. IIRC, the only differences were shrouded ejector and adjustable (W&E) rear sight. Well, and mine was box stock.
I took my Charter Arms Off Duty to the range today. In a total of 65 rounds (no MagTech), I had no misfires. That is pretty good for a gun that came from the factory giving me 1-3 misfires per cylinder-full. Of the stuff I shot, Double Tap 148gr WC (my carry round), and PPU 158gr SWC (in my...
That is EXACTLY how I feel about the ground-mounted M2. The 1911 is certainly the most beautiful handgun... ever. The M2 (and .50 BMG round) adds the ability to reach out and touch someone from 2000 yards. 650g @ 3000 fps, or thereabouts. Jeez.
Agreed. Deception is not good. Which is why my wife and I have agreed to:
We both have good paying jobs, therefore we can each buy whatever we want. A few pair of shoes, new lamps, a revolver or 3 just ain't worth the arguing about. Of course, we realize that we will be working until we die.
I had the full auto experience with a P14.45 about 30 years ago. Full auto was not the bad part; it was a split-second WTF, followed by the gun blowing up in my hand. IIRC, I got 7 stitches to my support hand, at the base of my thumb. Oh, and a tetanus shot.
OK, maybe you've got me on this one. The first time I pointed a G21, the front sight WAS way high. Applying a firm grip, where my hands work together to PULL THE FRONT SIGHT DOWN into position, affords EXTREMELY good control and recoil management FOR ME. I can put more rounds on target faster...
If the 1911 weren't such a poor design, there would be a whole industry devoted to fixing those flaws.
When it comes to grip angle and shootability, out of all the available pistols on the market today, Glock seems to be the only manufacturer that got it right.
Perspective is everything.
