What is a reasonable gun law?

It should start with all kids between 4-9 y.o. getting the Eddie Eagle (or similar) program. Teach it alongside the 'Stranger Danger' programs. It teaches kids what to do if they find a gun: Stop, Don't Touch, Run Away, Tell a Grown-up. Even the most Rabid anti-gun parent should be able to...

Another UP Mall Incident - Mishawaka

Holey****, I've been all wrong. If I hear shots in a mall I plan to find an exit, cover, or concealment while mentally preparing to draw. Clearly, I'm not keeping up with the times. I need to rethink my priorities. Sadly, I was born and raised in South Bend. UP Mall was a nice place when...

Looking for privately owned land to shoot on.

I see several of the larger shooting clubs listed up-thread. I've shot at some of them and they are excellent, but many small-town 'conservation clubs' still operate from the 1940s and 50s. The problem is that they don't advertise and can be hard to find. There are four (that I know of)...

Hamas Launches Infiltration, Rocket Attack on Israel

Let me get this straight; we're giving weapons to Israel, we're giving aid to Hamas, and at the same time, we're broke and borrowing money to get by? That is too ridiculous to believe. Next, you'll try to tell me that weapons can't be replaced quickly should the US get into a shooting war.

      Illinois just won't stop!

I suggest a swap negotiated by the governors and approved by Congress. The land south of US Hwy 30 (with all those pesky farmers and work'n folk) moves to Indiana and Illinois and gets Gary and everything east to include Michigan City.

Free Mulch in NWI, Nipsco or ?

And yes, be careful but I've not had problems. The chips from the tree service are usually clean.

Free Mulch in NWI, Nipsco or ?

You might try calling some of your local tree-trimming companies. I get truckloads of wood chips from a small tree service delivered at no cost. They struggle to dispose of all that their chippers make. I live in Montgomery County and the local landfill transfer station accepts yard waste...

Noticed some new graffiti this morning...

Exactly. Perhaps the 'militants' should have thought about their family and friends before the attack. They're lucky the Israeli military didn't act like a bulldozer and simply sweep everything in Gaza into the sea.

      A Tritoon Boat for Skiing?

I've rented a lake house and want to rent a boat for 7 days that's capable of easily pulling an adult skier from a deep water start on two skis. I have a history with bow riders and runabouts but I don't know anything about Tritoons. Unfortunately, tritoons seem to be the only boats...

Noticed some new graffiti this morning...

The Palestinians had their backs to the sea and were surrounded on three sides by a more powerful enemy. They chose to sucker punch the Israelis by murdering unarmed civilians, killing 30 children, and using 'sexualized torture' (the UN's term not mine). What did they expect to happen...

I have bought my last gun

62 and retired. I have all the guns I need (and then some) and did slow down when I hit that point. My problem is that I see things I need at shows and stores that I didn't know I needed when I walked in. My Axis II in .300 BLK with an infrared scope and suppressor is a perfect example.

      Retirement Gift for Me

Congrats; I retired three years ago and highly recommend it. If you're not working and don't have standing commitments you may begin to forget what day of the week it is. That's OK. My motto has been "Every Day is Saturday" They're all good guns. Buy the one that looks the coolest to your...

      Go Woke, Go Broke???

No problem. Brandon Jr. can add fast-food restaurants to the government-run grocery stores he's interested in opening. I'm sure they'll be a smashing success.

      Naps are important

I think of a power snooze as a micro vacation.

      Legal question.

The way it works here is that I buy a gun and submit the NICS check in my name. I take possession and bring it home. My wife will see it, and if she really likes it the gun may magically become her gun. Simple.
