      sounds like a good powder. I have been using litl gun and it burns so hot, expensive too. I will give this a try, thanks so much you have been a great help. I too am old 66 pretty soon a great hobby for us seniors.

      what my thinking is if they are just using the NICS check for MGs, it kinda makes the NFA items in line as far as background checks, with just a normal firearms purchase. I understand that NFA items get registered but if they are just using NICS, well I hate to say it, but that is just stupid.

      Is the background check for a machine gun the same as with any other gun, handgun rifle? I have heard that if you can pass a background check for a handgun or a rifle you will pass for a machine gun.

      I have checked with two gun shops and the BATF and they all have said that it is legal to swich back an forth from rifle to pistol if the item(stripped lower) was reported on 4473 as a other firearm. The BATF also said that there is no way that they could verify what was reported on the 4473, so...
