I'm going to mostly agree, but I once bought a case of the worst crap ammo ever, called Yavex. I had some rounds that would sound like a cap from a cap gun, and literally leave a chunk of bullet in the barrel (like it would roll out if you pointed the gun down).
Most training rounds are...
I had this debate with a guide in Wyoming. Some guys carry .44 magnum revolvers, but have barely shot them. I'd rather trust a semi-auto that I've trained with. The 10mm is a stout round, no doubt, but I'd be more certain of putting more rounds on target with the glock than a DA/SA revolver...
i will also point out that, if you remove iron sights entirely, you may develop a training scar, in that the gun is not going to come up to your eye level naturally aligned with the iron sights, if you are ever in need of using a gun with iron sights. The red dot does not demand this alignment.
Again, not looking to co-witness. Just want to be able to use iron sights through the red dot. That is not an option with this pistol. No such sights are made, as far as I can tell.
Okay, I grant you, after thinking about it, my glock 19 mos came with standard sights. But there are lots of glock sight options, and they are almost all interchangeable regardless of model. That's good engineering and value. (CZ has different sight patterns for every two or three guns...
I thought I'd try a non-Glock. Bought a full size CZ P10 Optics Ready, because I like using a red dot on my pistols. Bought the extra plate you have to buy to use an RMR (even though every other manufacturer includes some plates). Went to mount my RMR and, guess what? The sights are too low...
