No indication of definitive policy change. The FOIA showed that they have compiled upwards of 2000 pictures along with their procedures of taking them.- cp009

Sorry for no updates guys! I totally forgot about this thread especially after starting my new job. UPDATE: FOIA request was answered. The police dept. processed my father's LTCH without a picture being taken. My father decided not to pursue it any further after that. I should be more active...- cp009

The state police opinion was the law was silent on whether or not photos are ok, but the local PD would have to articulate/justify why they are denying a permit because of refusal to take a photo. That justification would then be brought to the state pd to determine.- cp009

The department responded by saying the correspondence with the state resulted in them saying that the statute is silent on whether or not a local PD can or cannot take photos.
