      I get it. Chuck strives to eliminate snag points as his guns are meant as hard use training and carry guns. Although most of his work imo doesn’t overly exaggerate dehorning, I understand what you mean. Until you carry and train with one of Chuck’s guns, it’s hard to understand!

      I get it! The thing about Chucks work, although visually interesting in terms of. On traditional… it’s all functional. There isn’t a feature that Chuck adds that doesn’t aid in function and performance in some way.

      I would look at a used Baer and send it to Mark Graff. All a Baer needs is some soften edges and light work for it to be top tier. In terms of a Brown being better fit. I disagree, the blending might be better, but it’s not fit better. Before Graff: After Graff work

      I would be looking at a Dan Wesson or a used Les Baer. Both can be had for around $1500. The classifieds over on 1911addicts.com is where I’d direct you to (don’t break the rules, make sure you read them first). It’s surely the best place on the net for what you seek.

      The fact that Greg Derr is on this list makes it a totally irrelevant one. Chuck Rogers and Ned Christiansen are not even in the guild. I know a bunch of the guys who are, and it’s a nice “club” to be in. That said, I put 0 stock in it.
