I was very close to getting a PMR-30 about a month ago but decided to hold off due to issues I had read about with this gun. I'm glad I did. I still want one but I'll continue to wait and see if Kel-Tec can iron out the bugs.
I have and American Classic Trophy that I purchased back at the beginning of March. Through the first couple hundred rounds so far it's been great. Very accurate of of the box and nice overall fit and finish. The only issue I had was that the stock ACT mag wouldn't feed. The Chip McCormick...
Zombies require headshots and close range isn't ideal (though may be necessary at times). So my first choice wouldn't be the typical handgun (9mm, .40, .45 semi-auto etc). I would choose something like a Kel-tec PLR16 or Rock River LAR PDS pistol, 5.56 nato. Topped with a red dot or other optic...
I have an EAA/Tanfoglio Witness Classic 9mm I bought about a month ago. It's a very nice shooting gun. The Classic is full sized but based on the small frame which is nice. The current Witnesses are based on the larger frame. My Classic is very accurate, has a nice trigger, and is a soft...
I ordered a Simply Rugged pancake holster for my 6" GP100. The make them for the 4" as well. I haven't received mine yet, but I've read good things about them. There is 1 page review in the March/April 2011 edition of American Handgunner magazine.
Sourdough Pancake
Perhaps. I've still read of some problems here and there with the new ones and repaired ones. I will still probably get one eventually though. Still in wait-and-see mode for now.
My newest acquisition
GP100 with Hi-viz front sight and badgercustom grips:
Got it a couple weeks ago. I've only been to the range once with it thus far but will be going back soon to test out the new grips. Love the way they feel though.
I really want one and was going to get one but all the functional issues I've read about has made me hesitant. I think I'm going to wait a year or so to see if Kel-tec can iron out the bugs.
I had a P250 9mm compact. It shot accurately and felt good in my hand. The DAO trigger has a long pull, but it's relatively light and very smooth. Only reason I got rid of it because I wanted something with a DA/SA trigger.
MetroArms American Classic II, Commander, and Trophy can be had for under $600. They tend to get very positive reviews. I have a Trophy and it's great.
I don't think I'll ever be that way with guns. I admit, I'm fairly new to firearms. Hunted a little when I was a kid 20 years ago and just started shooting handguns early this year. I only have two guns in my collection right now but I don't think I'll own guns that I never shoot. I guess I...
I actually just switched back to a DA/SA EAA Witness Classic from a DAO SIG P250 compact. Both 9mm. I liked the SIG and it has a great DAO trigger, very smooth and pretty light. However I like DA/SA a lot more and though I was accurate with both, I am more accurate with DA/SA than DAO. I...
