Is a pond a sufficient for emergency water storage?

Treating the water would be the issue. Most ponds in neighborhoods have tons of chemicals dumped into them

Vacuum Packaging Machines, What To Get?

Ive had two food saver brand machines. The first one lasted 10 years and the second one is on its 5th year. They are the basic model and seem to work fine for just regular sealing. The bags are where its good to do your research. Amazon has off brand bags that are great and some off brand...

      Michigan Dictator Bans Bug Out...

Isn't this the govenor that also banned buying seeds? If people don't think things are going to get sporty when the economy collapses, this kind of stuff is a good example of that it will.

      Cheese long term storage

From what I can tell, this would get you about a year shelf life-which I think works for me. Waxing the cheese can keep it for up to 8 years without freezing it. Most of the wax cheese Ive seen already has been aging for several years. I think im going to go the simple freezer sealed bag in...

Sarah Palin is Officially Running Now!

Somehow I think she even screwed this up, too.

Joe Biden Accused of Sexual Assault

I guess the anti Kavanaugh people are too busy buying guns and TP?

What is up with these Remington Golden's

I had some of these .22LRs once. I had the same experience. Very inconsistent and would only work in a rugged 10-22. But then again, anything with the name Remington has taken a dive in quality in the past 5 years.

      Unholstering at home

When you unholster at home, draw it in a safe direction like you would in a real gunfight. Use it as a chance to practice a good draw stroke. Not sure if its been said before (and im not sure what kind of work you do) but I would reconsider disarming yourself before going into someone's...

      Water Options in 2020

I think the key is different storage options. Having enough bottled water rotated to get you through a week is the first step. Second, I am going to have canned water that has a 30yr shelf life. Third, I have a way to collect and filter water.

      Cheese long term storage

I was going to try this as well. If I can get a year out of store bought shredded cheese, that would allow me to rotate it from the deep freezer. Ive also seen wax kits that you can do yourself. I think im gonna try the freezing store bought cheese at first. Thanks for all the tips and info!

      Cheese long term storage

I have been avoiding the grocery store as much as possible. Not because im scared of getting sick, its just so hit or miss that finding one specific thing turns into a huge trip.

      Pants

I don't have separate pants for IWB or OWB. I just buy my pants two inches bigger around the waist. I also rarely ever carry OWB, unless im doing a specific training class. People who embrace the lifestyle of carrying a gun everyday have to buy new pants-thats pretty much how it works.

      Ft.wayne,NE Indiana training

If there is one thing ive learned about taking training classes it is this: be prepared to travel for good training. Aside from that, good instructors do travel to this area. I know a few ranges in Ohio have hosted Costa and Tom Givens before. I would start by finding legit instructors you...

      Drop Leg Holster

I only carry a drop leg holster if im wearing plates. And even then, I have the drop leg holster as high as possible. I prefer to carry on my hip, as its easier to get to when running vs a drop leg holster.

Any CC a .38 special anymore?

I carry a SW 340PD as a backup. I like the .357mag, but I can still train with .38 special. I like it from a grappling standpoint because if I make contact with the gun, it will still keep running, unlike a semi auto pistol.
