      Primer and powder score!

I decided to check out Fields Outdoor in Rushville. I ran into a good amount of primers and plenty of powder. They have atleast 40lbs of bullseye and a good bit of varget and other rifle powders. I haven't seen so much ammo and reloading supplies in such a long time I hardly knew how to react here.

Hey M&P fans, does their accuracy suck?

I've seen threads where people complain about the accuracy but I've had no problems. I went from glock to the m&p so in the beginning I was shooting low but grouping just as well as the glock. Trigger wise I do plan on putting the apex kit in it as I'm not to happy with it. It works but it could...

9mm powder charge - reloading question

I've also been wondering about the differences in my manuals. Right now I've got two manuals the Speer and the lee. I'm a beginner as well hopefully someone will be able to explain. My Speer shows a charge of 4.0 to 4.4 for the 700x 115gr. Lee only shows 115gr xtp (hollow point) at 3.9 to 4.2...

How long do you look for your brass?

I shoot mostly at indoor ranges and if I place my bag just right the brass, for the most part, falls right in. What doesn't land in the bag I just spend a few seconds between mag loads to grab the stragglers.

      Excessive pressure?

I should have stuck with the 1.135 from the book but a reputable loader shared his load which I used with this result. I have my second batch ready to shoot at 6.2 and the 1.135 to try now.

      Excessive pressure?

Plated round nose. I ran about five charges that all came in at 6.4 before I started loading. I then checked the charge after loading the ten test rounds. The loads at 6.2 had very little if any cratering. Which leads me to believe I need to stay longer than the initial 1.125 oal.

      Excessive pressure?

Yeah I think I'll stick with the 6.2gn. Just wasn't absolutely sure about 6.4. I'm a bit surprised that it would be excessive then again compression I'm sure is the culprit. Thanks for the help!

      Excessive pressure?

Sorry about the pic. They are uniform in size but raised around the firing strike. If excessive pressure but under max load could my bullet be seated to low at 1.125 causing higher pressures?

      Excessive pressure?

These rounds are 115gn 9mm loaded with 6.4 grains of power pistol seated at 1.125 using S&B primers. The max load for power pistol 115gn 9 is 6.7. Is this a sign of excessive pressure?

      Officially a reloader now, woohoo!

Looks to me that there is quite a few of us that have just recently gotten into reloading. I just put out my first large run after a few test rounds. It's a nice way to stay involved in the shooting world when you can't hit the range.

      First loads!

With that thought I'll increase oal to decrease pressure and get a more favorable load.

      First loads!

Yeah a bit hot for me at 6.4 so I'm thinking I'm going to stick with the min of 6.2. I wish I would have started reloading earlier as it is a great extension of the sport.

      First loads!

I've got ear pro but I could defiantly tell a difference. I could also feel a touch more concussion as well.
