      Neat old rifle...

From the rear side of the end plate that retains the inner mag to the rearward (back) of the ring at the rear end of the magazine is 24.150". From the same location to the forward side of the ring is 23.950". The ring measures .200 front to back. Hope this is useful.

      Old eyes issue

Many years ago bifocal lenses were made for pharmacists who had to read labels on high shelves. These were made with the reader lens at the top instead if the bottom. You could do as I have done and get a pair of these made with the focal distance at +.75. This focal length is about 78" in front...

      Neat old rifle...

The one I took the pic of does not have a screw hole in the same location as the one shown in atticachert's pic so the retainer sleeve was likely not on this one. Some of these 100+ year old mysteries are a challenge to solve...

      Neat old rifle...

This is the end that goes toward the receiver. There is nothing that retains the cartridges in the inner tube. When you load the tube the follower is moved all the way to the muzzle end and it latches in place. You then place as many rounds in the tube as you want up to capacity, then with the...

The ATF at Biden's direction illegally changed the definition of engaging in the business of selling firearms and the new rule gies into effect May 10. How gun show promoters will handle this remains...

      MIROKU JAPANESE WINCHESTERS?

No. Winchester produced the 1892 from 1892 to 1945. Calibers were .25-20 32-20 38-40 44-40 and near the end of production added .218 Bee.

      MIROKU JAPANESE WINCHESTERS?

They are well built rifles. The screws are all metric and us made winchester parts won't fit. I believe they added a safety as well.

As if your life depended on it…

I don't carry a bug out bag. Mine is a get home bag containing things that will help me get home if an emergency arises when I am not home.
