Okay, thanks to sig1473, we have settled on a build, and boy is my M1A about to become a different animal completely. It is going to be wearing a VLTOR chassis, with the new full length VLTOR handguard rail system, Leupold see through rings, and a Nikon Monarch, 1-4x20 BDC scope. Hooyah. Things...
Haha, you guys are cracking me up! Gotta love a fellow gun nut. Well I think that about sums it up. I am gonna get one. The only problems is, they are so popular that all the shops I've called have to basically just keep an eye out for me. And I agree on the capacity thing, can't remember who...
I'll stick with the 7 round mags. For me it isn't that big of a deal. I've owned a Glock 19 and it was a great gun with plenty of capacity. I never had any doubt that I could stop a bad guy with it. Low capacity just doesn't concern me that much. If for some reason a fight at the O.K. Coral...
I would have gone through 1911 show and tell but there a quite a few pages there. Didn't know how many I'd have to read to find out! I think I'm gonna get one ordered. Just way too slick not to have it. :ingo: In any case, if anyone has more input I'd be glad to hear it.
I am seriously looking at getting one of these bad boys. All of the reviews I see are glowing, and I am a Springfield Armory guy big time. Never owned a 1911 and I am in the market for a new handgun. Does anyone here have one? If so, what is your experience with it? It isn't a cheapy, so I...
Thanks for all of the input, now it is a toss up between the aircraft aluminum SADLAK, and the Basset. I feel pretty confident that the aluminum on the SADLAK is of a good enough quality to stand up to heavy use, especially with the three points of contact. I wanted to go with a Nikon M-308...
I have been looking at various scope mounts for my new M1A scout, some even allowing you to keep the use of the National Match Irons. I really want to keep the ability to use them, but I want a solid mount. Anyone with experience have any suggestions?
Hello all, glad to be here amongst fellow ballistics enthusiasts. I have always loved guns, but after serving as a Gunnersmate in the USN for a few years, I really got the bug bad. See ya on the flip side.
