Carrying a revolver or a glock 26, either way you should carry one in the chamber for edc purposes, now your gun and equipment and trust them
btw what is the difference between carrying a glock with one in the chamber and a revolver? both are double action
I would ask the most interesting man in the world, he doesn't always carry an ankle gun but when he does he prefers a S & W. (642 and 442 are both excellent options)
Nice decision, I had the same decision to make and ended up with a FNX that I was able to find used, and spent the difference on two extra mags (the downside to an fnx, expensive extra mags and harder to find) but the M&P line is great. Enjoy!

Find a range that rents guns and try a few, that is what I did. I ended up with a FNX-9, it feels good in the hand.
Also really take the time to learn everything about whichever gun you choose.
