      Anyone shoot smokeless muzzleloaders?

I don't know about pushing the standard 50 bmg bullets. I'd think it would be a bit tough to shove one down the barrel but I may be wrong. It seems like most people only shoot saboted rounds with smokeless. So that means no powerbelts also.

      Anyone shoot smokeless muzzleloaders?

This is my first smokeless. I have an inline and a side cap (both blackpowder) but don't enjoy the cleaning as much as the shooting. Savage produced (maybe still producing?) a smokeless ml and there are a couple of other manufacturers out there as well. SMI is actually located in indiana. They...

      Anyone shoot smokeless muzzleloaders?

Just picked up a SMI barreled NEF muzzleloader. Can't wait to shoot it. Any suggestions for a powder scale? The SMI load charts list charges to the whole grain. I'd prefer to measure to the .1 grain if possible. I'm wanting to go digital. Once I do get her out, I'll post some pics of the results.

      Game Camera Mystery Picture

I don't know what you are all talking about. It's obviously a pregnant lion that escaped from the zoo and is out killing all the deer! Now what are we going to do once she has her kittens and they start killing more deer? I think we are all in for it now.

Hunting with a Howitzer Cannon (REAL)

Spectacular. When I saw the title I was thinking M777 and some guys with a cellphone video of a deer getting hit with a 155 round. This was even better.

      Shoot or Pass

Yes they are. If only I had the time to practice!

      Shoot or Pass

I would throw an arrow through his ribcage.

      Muck boots?

I have had a pair of lacross muck boots for a few years now. Mine are insulated so I try to limit my long treks in them. They do very well at keeping the water out, but since they are solid rubber they do keep the sweat in. If you are only traveling a short distance they are great.

      Fawn or Yearling???

We go with a fawn for born this year and a yearling for born last year. But that usually only applies to does since a we call a buck fawn a button buck and a yearling buck a 1 1/2 year old buck.

      I think she shoots ok....

Why isn't there a caliper in the pic? That's a nice group but exactly how nice is it? Just joking. Any chances of stretching her out to 2 or 300 any time soon? That is a nice looking rife!

      Decent .270 bolt action?

Savage, Remington, and Weatherby all make a fine rifle. Have a 110 in 7mm Rem Mag, 700 in .308, and a an old Vangard in 22-250. All shoot sub-moa. Gotta say the 7mm is my favorite though.

Poll: Who's the better deer hunter?

^^^Might as well end the poll after an answer like this one^^^. I think most would agree with you. Thank your friend for his service.

Poll: Who's the better deer hunter?

I should not have put the P&Y and B&C portion in there originally. It was simply an attempt at leveling the playing field based on a set of criteria that are currently in place. It would have been better to say a mature doe for each; to avoid the "trophy hunter" accusations. Anyway, I agree...

      Robin hood!!!

      Gotta stop shooting groups now!

Poll: Who's the better deer hunter?

Poll: Who's the more skilled deer hunter? All things considered equal such as the same hunting environment, hunting setup, additional equipment, etc.. What requires more skill? Had to edit the original question in order to reduce the hunting ethics responses.
