Keeping Kids Warm
As you mentioned, put in foot warmers prior to going out. Cotton sock layer first to absorb sweat, then wool. Make sure boots are not too tight. It restricts movement and internal circulation. Hunting mittens are an option. Fleece layers seem to also be a great thermo layer. My motto is...- padawan

Cleaning brass
What I have learned is the amount of Lemishine is very important to a good cleaning process. To much made mine a dull pale brass. I found that a single .22 lr casing of Lemishine was plenty. I got caught in trying to use to much Lemishine to get a 'brassy' look when the instructions were very...- padawan

Removing a bolt catch roll pin
THIS and/or a good thick layer of duct tape on your receiver. Also, place your receiver in a vice block. Sears makes a set of long punches and one is the exact fit. I don't recall the size but someone will post it. Go easy and tape the receiver.- padawan
