Some of the worst people found out about it in '43--the Soviets:
"By 1943, it was clear that the Soviet Union was attempting to penetrate the project. The most successful Soviet spy was Klaus Fuchs, a member of the British Mission who played an important part at Los Alamos. The 1950 revelation...
Excellent letter, CC. It would also double as a letter to our legislators; it would probably make more impact there than FB, at least among those I interact with. FB has excellent potential for getting issues across, but it's frustrating that with my "friends" it has turned into a place to tell...
As far as the school shooting being staged, or any other major event, I think it's very unlikely because it's too hard to keep something like that quiet. Too many people need to be involved and people like to talk, for money or fame.
Nixon couldn't pull off an office burglary, Reagan had...
Yes, good price. I will second the quality of Butler Creek--pretty flawless. Now if we could just find some ammo to put in them! I was at Walmart in Valparaiso a few hours ago, and the only .22 in stock was a few shotshells and .22 shorts...
Myself and nearly all my family, wife included, are ex-military, and I don't think we'd be offended by your action if we were still in. We'd probably be humble or embarrassed about it, you know, "just doing our job", but we'd be thankful for sure. But to each his own.
One of our methods of...
Agreed--that is good news. When I read their proposals, especially about "stiffening penalties for carrying guns near schools", I can't believe the White House could really believe that could prevent shootings. I'm thinking that they know none of these proposals can ever be effective, but they...
Blue, a 10-22 would be an excellent choice. Reliable, and used ones will be plentiful since they made a billion of them. Get a Butler Creek folding stock or other variant, and you'll be all set. Plus it's easy to put the wood or synthetic stock back on if need be.
But these are nice, too: Colt...
Wow, there's a ton of info in there. Looks like some good stuff, though some topics date back to the 90's.
Thanks--always on the lookout for ammo against the gun-controllers.
I ordered a couple mags from them in November, when everybody had everything in stock, and it took almost a month for them to arrive. Communication with and from them is poor, but my stuff did arrive in the end.
That's odd--when I emailed tech support I asked specifically about the rear takedown pin, and when the safety was changed; that's what the guy replied back with--somewhere in the 50,000 range. Mine is 77,XXX.
The guy must have been mistaken. If you find anything out, let us know!
JB, I picked one up in November and it works great. No problems. The only issue I had was on mine was that you don't have to loosen the barrel compensator like it says in the manual to take off tension on the take down pin. My pin comes out easily, but nothing is loose on the rifle. A Colt /...
I don't think a bill as drastic as that would stand a chance over here--but you are right about contacting our Indiana reps to remind them, "don't even think about it."
This will be interesting to follow.
