Baldwin "The trigger wasn't pulled. I didn't pull the trigger."

This guy is so full of excrement that his breath stinks and no amount of Scope or Listerine will remedy it. He is solely responsible for what happened. The death weapon discharged in his hand, killed one person and injured another. In my book that is Reckless Homicide or Criminal...

Does everyone carry with a round chambered?

One way to allay any fear is to load the chamber and secure the firearm away. Give it 24 hours, check on it to see if it fired itself. Usually they don't. I carry a 1911 all of the time, and have no worries. One only need to get used to it.

HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Custom or Crude Colt SAA?

Not that anyone would need reminding, but please, don't do an "Alec Baldwin" with it. The pistol would be a nice addition to anyone's SAA collection.

Your .45 is NOT a death ray!

I'll take any advantage that I can. I should think the .45 works more effectively than a .22LR.

Shoot to Wound or Kill? [The Legs - Self-Defense Gun Law]

One shoots to stop a lethal threat and one shoots at the widest part of the target. I'm not a fan of Ayoob, and I take what he says with a large grain of salt. A recent article in American Handgunner written by him in "Coptalk" suggests having police agencies having press conferences in OIS...

      USA made 1911 recommendations?

Rugers are solid, one cannot go wrong with a Springfield Armory.

      Grail gun acquired - a mint S&W 625 Mountain Gun .45 ACP

      OOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo. Daddy like.

      Need a new 1911 holster

I use a Galco Avenger for both my 5" and Officer's ACP. I also have kydex from Contact!Concealment for both pistols, both work well and made here in LaPorte County

      Springfield Armory and Hi-Power?

Springfield now makes them, the SA-35. 15 round capacity, no magazine safety, and a proper manual safety. If I really loved the 9mm, I would have one.

Which handgun did you use the most?

I have two. Both are 1911's, both by Dave Lauck. One is a Colt Officer's ACP, hardchromed, the other is a Caspian 5" with race ready frame.

I VOTED (I carried) how about you?

I vote at a local fire station. I will vote in person. I will have a Colt Officer's ACP on my person.

      Colt Python Pricetag

Blythe's in Valparaiso had a 6" new Python for $1500.00 which is very close to MSRP.

Police Kill Man Who Answered Door With Gun In Hand

We can look at the footage all day long. Since we were not there, our opinions are not relevant. No police officer goes to work thinking that he/she will have to kill someone. One must prepare one's self for the possibility, but no one goes out with a "hunting license." The silliness...

1911 Mil Spec: how to shoot comfortably?

Bob that hammer a bit, or have someone competent install a "beavertail" type grip safety. I shoot "thumb over thumb" and have not had any problems.

Smith Wheel Gun Question 25-2 Nickel

Definitely some after market work on the barrel, if not a replacement barrel. Initially, I would have said the barrel was from a Dan Wesson, but looking at the muzzle, it is not.
