Well my nephew made a big mistake.

You must have mis quoted. I didn't see the rest of what I wrote after that. Based on your comments (and my experiences), my statement is correct. Stereotyping is alive and well even though LEO don't like to admit it. Personal bias effects our everyday life (no matter how slight or subconscious).

Well my nephew made a big mistake.

The rest of the free world tends to disagree. We are the only ones (In the world, besides dictators) that have such restrictive alcohol policies. Ever been to europe? They don't have a lot of the alcohol issues we have. Get on the train after 8 on a weekend everyone is winding down with a beer...

Well my nephew made a big mistake.

I had suspected you were LEO at first due to your inability to think in open terms (Law is the law ala Judge Dredd Style), now I am positive you are LEO. LEO often have trouble understanding the big picture in life. As someone had recently commented, what you are looking for (and what the law...

My Kahr Arms CW40 did this at the range last week, not happy.

I would also check the guide rod over very well. Very cheap to replace, and good insurance. The way the spring is installed is similar to the reason why you install the open spring end into the cup on 1911's. Otherwise the spring can bind on the rod and cause jamming issues. I learned that from...

Well my nephew made a big mistake.

I was looking at your original quote with the first 35-47-1-7 when I typed that. Thank you for the update. The second doesn't disqualify you either as I read it. What that reads to me is that it goes to a review board for further explanation. As to the other guy. Does the punishment fit the...

Poster above is why I love these forums and the people that are on them!!

Well my nephew made a big mistake.

There has to be more to this story. No cop in his right mind is going to give an 18 year old a PI and MIP for sleeping it off in his car (Unless its parked in the middle of a busy intersection, or it is a stolen cop car type thing). LOTS of paper work for such a questionable offense. A 0.02 BAC...

Is it possible to convert a Beretta 96FS to shoot 9mm?

Just trade me for my Italian 92FS. :-)

Well my nephew made a big mistake.

You have to do quite a bit for a public intox to stick. It seems like there might be more to the story. Normally cops at a reception won't mess with minors having a few beers unless they are on a power trip, your nephew was being out of control, causing a ruckus, or being stupid and mouthing...

What do you CCers do at restaurants?

J-frame, IWB Blackhawkl leather, 5-6 oclock, no one notices and its comfy to sit against for hours. Just have to find the right holster.

Looking for Basic Pistol Class in Northern Indiana

You are close. Talk to Kodiak. Not all classes on are sunday if I remember correctly. Good group of people and high quality training along with a great facility. They can offer much more than a standard range. Scott

      Leather vs. Synthetic Holsters

After many hours of trying different holsters on, I had a synthetic, went with a blackhawk leather IWB, it was a toss up between that, and a Galco Summer comfort 2. I went with the blackhawk as it could also be appendix carried. After a week I am still very happy with my choice.

      Smoking pot at the range.

Yesterday at the range I was next to a 30+ year old man child. Gray hair, sideways hat, flip flops, you know the type. Kept doing rapid fire shots at the terrorist cutouts. Time to grow up. People amaze me. Its also scary to think, that moron is carrying a gun into public as I saw his LTCH...

      Ruger LC9 striking problems

The S&B ammo also has been known to have a hard primer resulting in light strikes out of LC9's.

      XDm 3.8 vs 4.5 45acp

They also just released the 45acp in 3.8 Subcompact. I haven't seen one yet but it looks very interesting.
