      This doesn't help your immediate concern; but might be of interest for the future. Install a firewall like "TinyWall" and block future updates by blocking "Windows Update" under the "Special Exceptions" tab. You will also not get security updates by doing this.

      Who has been erroneously denied on NICS?

      A friend of mine was denied about a year ago. NICS told me the appeals process was running about 18 months behind. They also told me the most frequent "denial without true cause" was local county court cases not properly marked as resolved and closed.

      I used to use Hoppe's #9 and light gun or motor oil (or 3-in-1). Since 1970 it was Hoppe's #9 and CLP. RIG for storage.
