      I'd stick with the 44 mag, there aint much it will not bring down, and you can find ammo just about anywhere.

      My uncle made a 8 ft sq box, lined it with 4in of blue board and put a window air conditioner in it, worked great. Most years in MI you dont need cooling, it also works to age the meet without letting it freeze, and keeps the bugs off it. I also would say to keep the water off the meat, it could...

      I am a fan of cap and ball muzzleloaders, nothing aginst in-lines, but they are the devil. I am new here, but hope to see more on the muzzleloaders.

      Home canning.

      We have used canned fruit and veggies that we have had for 5 or 6 years, sometimes the color was a little off, but they tasted just fine. They just need to be kept cool and dry.As far as nutrition, I dont know about that.Most things can be kept way past the time lines that we are told.

      My son got his first deer with one, Later that night I shot a nice buck with the same gun, out of the same blind, he was with me. Thats a pretty good first deer story.

      I also dump it in the way back of the property, I would hate to be the garbage man that has to pick up that bag after a week or so.

      Hydrodipping or Duracoat

      I have duracoated a few firearms, it seems to hold up well, and its pretty easy to touch up, or change the color if need be. Any coating will wear, the bake on finishes may be a bit harder, but my wife wont let me use the oven to try it out.

      when I walk into our local gun shop. the guy says,Hi, how ya doing today? if I can help you with anything, just ask. I like that. Some shops treat you like there doing you a favor by selling to you.
