      I keep one inside above the door in the downstairs coat closet and one upstairs.

      My vote goes for the Remington 870. Maybe in 20 gauge if the wife is going to be using it.

      Whichever one feels best in your hand. I personally have an Springfield XD9, but have shot a G19. Both are great guns and very reliable.

      I would go with an Remington 870. Had mine for years, never a problem.
