I heard a news briefing yesterday evening, in which a member of law enforcement stated that the shooter had been investigated by the FBI two different times in the past few years. However, both times he was "cleared" or something, which meant he was not forbidden to purchase weapons. Scary...

I have a brand new in box Burris P.E.P.R. 30mm scope mount (Item # 410341). I ended up with two of them, and I ended up only needing one, so this one's up for liquidation. It has both the smooth and picatiny upper halves.
$50 cash. I will not ship.
I work near 38th and I-465 on...
Do not assume that because you find a powder with a similar burn rate, that you can use it in a smokeless ML. In this case, 1680 is too fine. Its a spherical powder, and it's plenty small enough to fit through the hole in the 10ML's ventliner. Bad things can happen in a smokeless ML if you...
I was an NSCA member for 6 years or so, but I've let family life, hunting, and career crowd out my love for sporting clays. Dad and I get to Terre Haute SC a few times every year, but we really miss our 'home' club, which was Triple H in Linton. They had skeet, trap, and a really fun sporting...
I can entertain the argument that a longer sight plane on a rifle or pistol affords an accuracy advantage. But you're trying to tell me that your SCATTERgun is more 'accurate' because it has a 30" sighting plane instead of my 26" sighting plane? Really? How do you define this accuracy with a...
Sparks mean nothing. Your shot column might still be accelerating at your ports, but the expanding gas behind it is rapidly loosing pressure. The powders used in shotshells, Clays, Red Dot, Blue Dot, etc., are among the fastest burning powders available to us as reloaders. Some loads will...
I've got quite a few...maybe a thousand once-fired silver AA 12 gauge hulls. I also have a few Remington Premier hulls. Problem is, I'm in Putnam County about 90 minutes from you.
It's been closed since June, so I doubt the 'closure' has anything to do with the temperature outside.
John has always remained open year-round. Since he re-built the club after the fire, it looked like they were doing a good business just through the restaurant side of the business.
Ballistically, there is no advantage to a longer barrel. The powder in a target load is all burned in the first inch or two of shot travel and the pressure peaks very early as well. So beyond the first few inches, the rest of the barrel is of no ballistic benefit.
If your mechanics are...
Does anybody know what happened to Triple H Gun Club in Linton? I used to shoot skeet and sporting down there several times during the spring/summer. I enjoyed the restaurant on site too. Suddenly, one day, the gate was closed.
I've heard rumors and speculation, but I'd like to know the...
Your intended purpose would be helpful.
For rabbits once or twice a year, you'll be fine with just about anything. If you want to hit the skeet/trap/sporting clays range and maybe hunt with it also, please do yourself a favor and avoid the cheap o/u's... they're really not a 'value' in the...
The website does say that, but I don't think it's been updated for several winters now.
If you do talk to Jay, tell him that Alan Ball says hello. Also, if you're looking for someone to shoot clay birds with in the area, send me a meesage.
The owner of Clear Creek is Jay Mendenhall. He is a great guy and has been active in Indiana sporting clays for many years. Clear Creek actually hosted the state sporting clays championship back in...1999?
Jay is a full time farmer and his wife now has a catering business that consumes some...
I will never be willing to consider a CVA as a viable option given their willful disregard for safety last decade.
My personal choice is the Savage 10MLII. Once you add up all the advantages of the Savage, no other factory gun can compete.
