      FW Journal Gazette Editorial

Below is an editorial from an Indiana newspaper, which I take exception to. My comments are in red, and where there is highlighting, that was done by me. I am not taking or stating a stance on the larger issues at play, but want to point out that editorials like this are not good sources of...

Rugby Saturday afternoon at Elkhart Moose Rugby Grounds. Directions To Our Pitch | Moose Rugby Club This is probably the last chance this spring to see the local men's club in action. If you haven't been to a game, you owe it to yourself to get out on a nice day and watch a match or two...

      Snowy hunt pics

Finally had a touch of winter here. It didn't help me kill anything, but at least I felt like I was hunting. Saw a couple does and a young buck, no shots. One of the best no-kill hunts of the year, though. Late archery is the last straw now that ML is over. HB

      Review: Victorinox "Fireman"

I have been on a quest for years for the best knife for field dressing deer. I have used a dozen different ones and all did the job. Just looking for one with an "edge" over the others. (Little knife humor there.) I found a good one. This Victorinox Swiss Army Knife is called the "Fireman"...

      Multiples?

A few comments on another thread got me to wondering-how many guys/gals have taken multiple deer on one hunt? (Defined as one sit in one location.) If you have, what weapon(s)? How many? Over what time period? If you have not, can you attribute some of that to not having enough tags...

Bow Doe Double from Saturday 10/23

I have killed some deer over the years, but I never doubled on deer with a bow before Saturday morning. Two does and a little spike came in, smelled a coyote (that I also arrowed) and ran off in different directions. They eventually came back to re-group one by one. First cam the buck-he got...

      Noob checking in

Done lurking and signed up in an effort to legitimize myself, since mama couldn't get it done. Hail from the LaPorte/St. Joe line. Mostly a hunter, but a shooter, too. Look forward to swapping stories and maybe even some pertinent information once in a while. Me, circa 2008.
