Nice. Flintlock, saphaunce, wheel lock michelet lock,.......I think the flintlock was the longest running ignition system; I don't think the recipient will care that it's an antique. Slow, but still viable today.
Always wondered about the pinks and purples avail. with polymer. Read a story about a guy who saved his bacon with one when a scofflaw accused him of threatening with a gun. Since an officer was present, he asked the officer to have the guy describe his gun. "Oh yeah, man,.....black, all...
I think that just about says it all. ......I do like the old Detonics AMT 380 though (freudian slip.....almost said "389"...old Pontiacs just have a special place....to carry a gun....)
Well, you've got about as good a selection of .357 revolvers as I've seen. Any one would be hard to beat as a "walk away with it " revolver. (really like the Security Six, and Speed Six!).
I've been using .38spl., 6.0 HS-6, small pistol primers, 158 hard cast commercial swc (Kieth style, big grease goove) . By "commercial", I just mean, I didn't cast them. From local gun shop in boxes of 500. Decent mid-range in Armscor pretend Dt. spl. (I know, it's ugly as sin, but it knows...
Agreed! A few years ago Smith had a big rebate on the 9mm M&P. I think I had, maybe 140.00 in it, new in the box, after the "sale", and rebate. Likely won't see that any time soon! Definitely a keeper. We'll likely need a few "official" items, if "Fingers" lasts (like a Ruby, or two??).
A few outfits have primers, but at outlandish prices ("we've got it, and you want it"...)Saw some from an outfit in Boston Mass., plenty , but mega priced. Oh well, there's always Flints, 4fg, 3fg.? .......
Any thoughts on durability of Rossi 462-02 , .357? Picked one up used, like new, a few years ago, carry in rotation, but not frequently. Quite tight, and smooth at present. My guess was that .357's should be a rarity. I typically use .38, 158 LSWCHP +P.
..well, a personal case of "you just can't fix stupid". I decided to set the pistol aside in the safe overnight. The next morning, there was just a drop of CRP coming out of the firing pin opening in the slide. So...back to square one on cleaning DRYING, and maybe a bit of "blast-a-clean"...
Is that from the "knocking off" the Kel-Tech design thingy? If so, I kind of agree. Over all this is a decent weapon, but very close, including shapes of triggerguard, etc. to the P11. Interesting about the "break-up". Given reliability, I think these have a place, but of course, they're not...
If you can find one, AMT .380 Backup. Single action, thumb and grip safety, very accurate. Be absolutely certain to use a pocket holster sized for the gun, and practice the draw (empty). Have a good smith check it out; mine has been reliable for years.
Sounds like your water table is near or above the floor of the basement. Until you deal with water pressure on the floor and walls, I'd suspect you'll still have problems no matter what. You might look into large drains around the perimeter of the foundations, with perforated piping set in...
From time to time. I usually use a 5 shot, although the Rossi 462 seems safe with .38's. I usually use the old 158 gr. swc hollowpoint lead, +P. Not quite .357, but a good record. Admittedly, it's harder and harder not to justify the higher round count of a small 9mm, or 40, with a flatter...
