2006 Nissan Altima 3.5 SE. Almost 125k miles.
After it sits for a while - be it over night or through a work shift (~8hrs) the car becomes difficult to start.
Battery and alternator were just tested as "good" last Friday a few days after the first few initial hard starts.
I generally...
A friend of mine is looking to buy a medium-framed revolver for his wife as a "house gun" for use when he's not home.
She likes shooting his Single Six - but it'd take a heck of a lot of practice in order to get proficient enough to use it as a go-to HD weapon. (I've also asked him if he'd...
Well - we turned on the furnace for the first time last night. It'd gotten down to an awesome 64* in the house - and I thought we should bump it up 4-5* before bed then turn it back down for the over-night.
All seemed to go just fine... BUT - the unit (Natural Gas) would seem to work A-OK...
Please, please, please continue to ride without helmets!
My dad has just gone onto the "active" list for a kidney transplant...and the sooner the better!

It's fall - moving into the Holiday season...
Time for another Wish List thread! WooHoo!
Not just any ol' wish list though - how about stuff that you actually have a shot at locating/affording/buying?
Sure - I'd like an MP5... But that isn't going to happen. So - it's not on the wish...
There's at least one, and probably more, that have taken up residence in/around our quiet little suburban cul-de-sac.
My wife & I are tired of it...and the neighbors even more so (They have dogs).
Any thoughts / advice on trapping & removing this little polecat without getting sprayed...
Just what the title says!
Time to get off my duff and research contractors to handle a kitchen remodel of our home in Greenwood.
Chances are quite high that I'll be running these all through Angie's List, too...
Thanks!

Posting this here because I don't think I'll have enough of an AAR to place in the Training & Tactics subforum + I have several pics of non-training stuff, too.
What did I do last weekend? I did this: https://www.indianagunowners.com/forums/tactics-training/345023-paul-e-palooza-2-a.html -...
Just to make you knife guys jealous...
Watched an ORIGINAL NIB Al Mare SERE fixed blade sell for about $650 the other day at a charity auction...
My opening bid of $300 was QUICKLY trumped...
Oh Lord what a pretty knife....
Argh!
Ruger Mk II 22/45.
First off - had to have a gun smith buddy replace the bolt stop pin for me. My meager tools and skill couldn't drift the appropriate pin out in order to swap the 1-piece factory stop pin with the MA two-piece pin.
Gun is now fully assembled. YAY! Trigger...
I've already got a PM in to a 'smith...
Anyhow, I need to exchange the factory "bolt stop pin" with a new one as part of the Majestic Arms Speed Strip kit that I bought.
But...the pin won't budge for me. Just can't get it. And if I keep at it, I'm going to ruin the whole shebang and then...
Hi all,
I have a semi-sudden need for some 12ga ammo. Like 250 rds or so. Birdshot / target loads. 2.75"
Rem 870 (which I've heard are quite finicky with the aluminum-case-headed Winchester stuff)
Don't want to do online ordering.
South-side Indy much preferred!
Thanks,
-J-
Edit: The...
For our sixth anniversary.
Really - I did. It matches the cast iron skillet I got her for her last birthday.
Yes - I am "that guy" who buys "those types of gifts".
(She brought home a waffle iron from her mom's house a few weeks ago - so I didn't have to buy her one of those for the...
Several years ago, I ran across a used Mk II 22/45 in the case at Bradis.
So I bought it. (I also bought a used 10/22 and a CZ 452...as a newly wed...ahem).
Now I'm the proud new owner of INGOer and former Bradis employee Simon 6101's gun. He's a Ruger rimfire guru (10/22 platform...
And this is what I've gotten my wife as a present:
Amazon.com: Lodge LGPR3 Pre-Seasoned Round Cast-Iron Grill Press: Cookware Accessories: Kitchen & Dining
and: Amazon.com: Lodge ASHH41 Silicone Hot Handle Holder, Red: Cookware Accessories: Kitchen & Dining
Any bets on how this'll go...
Wife and I are headed up to TC here in a few weeks for a long weekend.
Neither of us have ever been...
Anything in the area a "must see"?
We generally like light hiking / outdoors stuff. I think we may rent bikes one of the days and do a winery tour. Not set in stone, though.
And I honestly have no idea what I want. :-(
Unlimited funds, I'd probably have 3-4 different ones.
Now, though, I need a "jack of all trades / master of none" type bike.
Wife got me a decent gift card to Performance Bike. Convenient location not too far from home...
Somewhat...
