I don't know that I've ever seen a repro of one of these old rifles, but there's plenty of modern big-bore rifles from names like Quackenbush. Pyramid Air carries a couple, as well. People still take large game with them.
My local super walmart (just built last year) recently installed a couple of rifle cases.

The 'squeeze cocker' both prepares the pistol to fire, and also takes the place of a manual safety and slide release. Until the pistol is cocked, the trigger is pretty much disconnected.

This Christmas my grandfather made a gift to me of the P7M8 I've been shooting at the range and in matches since middle school. Once my LTCH goes through, I'll take possession of it and start carrying regularly, as well as probably getting to the range quite a bit more.
