      I only use AW cells.

      Car breakdown kits

Folding shovel vs cold steel shovel? Thoughts?

Finally, a new cheaper XD-S package!

I found the one I handled to be very, very accurate for the barrel length.

      EDC gun with no safety

They have it right on pistol training - easier to shoot, easier to shoot accidentally (if 'accidents' exist in the firearm world, another discussion). I like my SA/DA semi with a decocker. I don't think Glock style striker guns are as safe in hand, on the nightstand, or going in to the holster...

If you could only have 3 handguns...

      Only 3? Mini Dracos/PAP 92 x2 USPc 9mm x1 winner.

      What's the best lube?

      this. 20w50

Do you carry different action types frequently?

No frame mounted safety, no problem. SA/DA to striker with no problems, however, accuracy may not be as good as it could be sticking to just one operating system - I'll never know.

      Old School "Survival" Gear

Nothing says badass like a good waxed canvas satchel, weighs a ton though. Boots are still leather, knives are still carbon for the most part. I really like the look and feel of the classic gear.

WTS: LMT rear sight, carry handle sight, MOE carbine length hand guard

Up. I'll take offers. Adding possible partial trade interest surefire 6P

Do you EDC a knife of some kind?

Kabar Dozier folding hunter models are slim, light, inexpensive, hunter OJ, and do the job. I've not found a situation that this 20$ blade couldn't handle (edc/trade type job). IMO, good place to start.

What is the best "line" of pistols?

USP/P series. Trigger options from LEM to cocked and locked (I favor SA/DA with a decocker only), large control levers, excellent design, metal magazines, reliable, accurate, built like a tank, ambi, great ejection. Seriously, its the best line.

      Flashlight

Whatever you decide on, I recommend AW brand rechargeable batteries. They make a whole range of sizes, I stick with rcr123 AW in my HDS tac 200 and P6 w/ malkoff drop-ins.

      Backpack Practice Trip

Good work, wish I had more time to do this sort of testing. On your trowel woes, check Lawson - I just saw this one in an email. I have purchased from him a few times and have always been happy with the prices and pieces (bp grill, sleep pad .250"). Little Deuce Scoop Titanium Potty Trowel at...

      VP9 or Glock 17?

Support. the VP9 will hold more value if you decide you don't like it, I'd try that one first for, oh, 500 rounds or so. I doubt you'll find it lacking, but if you do - I bet someone would pony up a 17 with lots of mags and do-dads for it.
