      I had not considered a shotty, however right now we live with my wife's parents and storage is limited. So right now I am leaning towards handgun, one thing I come back to is that the most versitle handgun ever is a .357 Magnum, every type of load imaginable from mouse fart .38's all the way up...

      Ruger Redhawk or S&W 629

      I like & respect Ruger revolvers they are good guns, however I LOVE S&W revolvers. They are much prettier than Rugers and as mentioned have much better triggers. I had a 66-2 and wish I never had to sell it, but when times are tough some things have to go. I would buy the 629 and enjoy the heck...
